    What type/brand paint? What does is state fully cured time is? Off gassing if not cured long enough could impede the decals from adhering well.

    Fully cured and total dry time are two different things. All I know is I had painted a storefront in town and the sign guy came a few days later and put up some vinyl decals on the new paint, looked good for 6 months, then all the decals started peeling off and needed to be redone.

    I would wait 14 days if you painted the sides fully with latex. If just a little latex on the side as I think you stated above I would at least wait 48hrs
