And this is the problem with an unlicensed game for a manufacturer. No nostalgia related instant buys, regardless of gameplay, content, etc...
The game has to be proven good before most people will shell out money. I think unlicensed game sales are more easily swayed by public opinion too.

Unlicensed games that aren't limited don't create enough FOMO. What's the harm in waiting to play it first?

A game isn't in my collection until it's in my house. Anything can happen between intention to buy and actual delivery.

I imagine it's hard to make payroll if you're not selling many games. I don't think these smaller companies can afford a dud.

I've had the chance to play GTF at a local arcade and it's a good game with a lot to like. Would be difficult to purchase one with the reported issues, lack of support and current trajectory of the company.
