Quoted from Zablon:It does beg the question, what exactly are they mounting with those 3 screws. Unless maybe it is placeholders for a topper?
My best guess would be a very thick chunk of Ballistic Plate in that area.
Quoted from Sorokyl:But the turret is supposed to serve as a topper. Are they going to come out with a better topper that makes the turret redundant? And it would look weird as shit on the LE when folded down. Hopefully if such a topper exists they reveal it tomorrow so people can decide if they want that OR the tank cab, because I don't think you'd want both.
I feel like they gotta be something important to the build though. Other games don't have those...and in this case there's actually art on the TOP! So why would you ruin the art by placing screws all over it, unless it had a really good reason that we are not seeing yet.
Maybe there's extra stability inside for the turret when it's hanging off the back?
The world may never know....
Quoted from bobukcat:Have you missed the posts pointing out that the actual artist who worked on the game confirmed it's not a camera but rather just a screw? Is it your assertion that it's just misdirection on his part?
To clear the record he simply said “true” and quoted the post saying it’s just a screw. But he also said there was a soft serve inside the coin door a little while later. So?
Quoted from Zablon:It does beg the question, what exactly are they mounting with those 3 screws. Unless maybe it is placeholders for a topper?
I got it. It's what every space tank needs. A Gyroscope
Quoted from titanpenguin:You can clearly see three cameras in this pic. Must have a VR mode.
Quoted from yancy:Holy shit guys, this just in, it has three cameras.

Welcome to the conversation.

Gotta stay on theme, a galactic tank gyroscope.

He distinctly said "To Blave," which we all know means "to bluff."

Long live the new Ice Cream Dispenser !!
With a gyroscope!

Hell Yes.
Quoted from TreyBo69:American Pinball should rent an ice cream truck for TPF and dress it up like a tank
I’ll take pics if it happens.
There are a few private tank owners in the area. Especially the British ferret scouts. They are even street legal. Always wanted one.
Man this thread went from hype to mock and hate. All new machine thread headers need to have hype it or hate it. Its coming if you like it or not.
I dont see much hate. I think people are just joking a bit around untill some new information on the most important aspect surfaces: The gameplay.
Agreed, I don’t see much hating going on in here. It’s all in good fun and just shows how interested people are in this.

No.. some of us are just goofing around until tomorrow..
I'm Very excited about this game, a new Nordman game is great for the hobby.
I love the Retro Science Fiction theme.

You mean all of us? Even my kids want to play this. TPF can’t start soon enough.

Watch out for cannon balls.

Quoted from EasternBloc:Do American Pinball machines have power switches on the head like modern Sterns?
no - classic position
Quoted from flynnibus:no - classic position
Or....do you have to turn all 3 screws at the same time to get it to turn on? hmmm...

WHAA?
We reading the same thread?
Besides, field day for neggie nellies tomorrow for their pick-it-apart party.

Killing time and goofing around at 5 AM till tickets went on sale at 9 AM.
It was a blast... but nerve wracking hoping it wasn't a sell out before you got in the door.
There were some near Riots when New Employees didn't know the Drill... not opening the doors up early or handing out wristbands in time.
No American pinball has their power switch where it should be and always was - under the game within easy reach .
Quoted from EasternBloc:That's a pretty rad GTF T-shirt as well.
Do American Pinball machines have power switches on the head like modern Sterns? Imagine it would be hard to reach behind the tank treads to hit a typically placed power switch.
I've been on RGP and pinside for almost 20 years.
This is the most unbelievable nerd infested, ridiculous, over reaching hype thread I've ever read.
Guys, it's a retro style pin, which is cool. The tank cabinet is laughable. It is on the level of deeproot outrageousness.
Makes me want to grab my knee length gym socks and put on my sandals. And then swallow a gallon of castor oil.
I'm off to the pulp fiction thread... You know... Where the cool kids are.
Holy shit, where's the Tylenol.
Quoted from luvthatapex2:No American pinball has their power switch where it should be and always was - under the game within easy reach .
Under the cabinet little children that can’t even see the PF, have a field day turning pinball machines on and off, lol.

TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE TANKMAS
Twas the night before Tank-mas and all through the house
Not an ice cream was stirring, not even Haagen Dazs
The pinballs were all boxed in the factory with care
In hopes that Saint Nordman soon would be there
The buyers were ready, their hands on their checks
With visions of playfields with all the cool mechs
When out in the showroom, there came such a roar
A FREAKING TANK entered and drove down the floor
With a little old driver, pulling out all the tricks
I knew in a moment he must be DAVID FIX!
His voice bursted out now: "YOU PLAY MY NEW GAME!"
He whistled and called out the features by name:
Now "Space Tanks," now "Sundaes," now "Super late gameplay revealing!"
On, "Cameras that only point right at the ceiling!"
Then he pressed both the flippers, the tank head would rise
And guess what all you doubters? The game magnetized!
Yes the bash toy in the center wouldn't just block the ball
But it flew though the coin door, targets and all
The term Galactic Tank Force wasn't just a creation
It was a sentient being, of pure innovation!
(With pricing to cure all the talk of "pinflation")
David sprang to his tank, to his team gave a "YUP!"
And Ryan McQuaid and co, packed the game up
But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of sight,
"Happy Tank-mas to all, and to all a good-night!"
Quoted from Beechwood:I've been on RGP and pinside for almost 20 years.

The tank cab is their Signature and Limited Edition models. The Deluxe and Classic cabs are a completely different beast. Wait until you see the Deluxe and Classic Editions. They look amazing and the artwork is fantastic...

Quoted from flynnibus:I just can't unsee those ugly squared pinball legs that keep dragging my eyes to them!

in…maybe.

I don't know why they downvoted you. Sounds like something I would say. lol. The game looks great. But wtf are they doing with everything else? This is just straight up crazy.
