hi pinsiders!

newbie here...we just got our Bally Twilight Zone machine back after, oh, 6 years or so, and alas, it STILL has the problem where it resets when you hit both the flippers simultaneously

anyone living in central NJ or surrounding area (near Trenton) interested in testing and fixing this machine? the pin has had multiple fixes over the past few years, but somehow this problem didn't get fixed...

send me an email if you're interested with a little background and general hourly rate - kriscoop1 at yahoo (dot) commeroo!

Have you tried resetting the connectors on the power driver board? There is a list. I know someone will post a link soon. I am on my phone and cannot post a link with it.

Is it the coil, board or eos that is shorting it. Does it matter which order it happens in? Like hold the left side and press the right and does it blow vise versa? Just curious what troubleshooting has been done so far. May make it easier to narrow down.

#1 problem that will cause this is low line voltage, meaning that the power from the wall is poor. Before you mess with anything check to see if you have less then 120/119 volts, if so this is high likely hood of the issue. Stiffen up your neutral on the house electrical.

So are you saying the bridge rectifiers and caps were replaced?

+1 on this I have to have my STTNG plugged into a completely different circuit than my other pins for it not to reset, and can not use my monsterr surge protector on it st all.

Do check all connectors - I also had a bad connection where wire was 90% out of the connector. Even after fixing this, still need different circuit.
