Is this the rare system 80 hulk?
Here's my Lou Ferrigno true story. A few years ago my plane lands in LA. I spot lou waiting for his luggage right next to me. I pull out a Hulk comic book I happen to have with me and timidly approach him. I shake his hand and ask if he'll sign my comic book. His response "I get paid for that"
so helping lou in any way shape or form, not unless he paid me

I hate hearing stuff like that. That’s too bad, and I imagine it was pretty awkward.

Back in the day, my high school wrestling coach was runner up Mr. California (in the '70s) and used to work out with Arnold and those guys. When coach was pumped for competition, he couldn't touch his head because his arms were too big.

Had a similar experience at a comic con here is Dallas a few years ago. My son was 8 at the time and was a total dick to him. I just thought we caught him on a bad day, at least that is what I told my son at the time. I found out later that he is like that often. Sad to hear others have had issues as well. At least Sam Jones (Flash) stuck around after hours a couple years ago at TPF to drink and BS with everyone. Lou, not so much.

Can't wait to hear all about it! He didn't seem like he was having fun at TPF. Every time my Wife and I walked past his booth we kind of laughed at how miserable he looked. A buddy I know paid like $75 bucks to get a picture with him. While they were taking the picture Lou looks down on him and says "so you like pinball, huh?" Geez

yeah some celebs think they are still in the spotlight and a shame that the only thing that matters to them is money.always appreciate your fans if it wasn't for your fans you wouldnt be worth 2 nickels

thats very nice of you to give him a pin,but honestly after reading the posts made by my pinside brothers he does not deserve it.i would have gave it to someone getting into the hobby that cant afford a pin or have a raffle and donate all the money to St.Judes Childrens Hospital.this is just me sayin
He's a major jerk. That is how I'll always remember him. Evidently time has not changed him a bit. I hope he was miserable at Texas. He looked that way to me as well. I'm disappointed that anyone is going to help him out.
My chance meeting with him goes way back, probably 30 years. He was in town to attend a body building event as a celebrity (maybe even as a judge, I don't recall). My friends and I were out to the movies. He was there in the theater. After the movie, half a dozen kids, aged from around 6 to 13 went up to greet him and wanted their movie tickets and popcorn boxes signed. In a classless move the exemplifies his jerkiness he refused and did not even stop to talk or interact with them in any way. He was their hero and he simply trampled all over their star struck hopes. He displayed a terrible attitude, he was not gracious nor kind. It takes so little to be a positive influence. Not to spend a couple of minutes with kids who idolize you is simply despicable.
I don't remember what the movie was but i'll always remember his being a completely contemptible prick to the kids.

Wow, in Pumping Iron he seemed like the nice guy getting walked all over and shamed by Ahnuld, I kind of felt bad for him.
You guys that had a bad experience (sounds like everyone), should watch the movie for a laugh at him...
He doesn't deserve that Incredible Hulk machine. Trying to think of a title that might be more appropriate... hhmm...
