    That supply is also used in Spike 1. However, Stern went with a stronger one in Spike 2. I guess because it is on the weaker side but those machines still work fine. That is also the reason why we recommend a stronger PSU in our docs: http://docs.missionpinball.org/en/dev/hardware/voltages_and_power/voltages_and_power.html#high-voltage-48v-to-80v. Some headroom is a good idea when prototyping in my opinion. You can strip down later. However, the PSU definitely works fine for a lot of people and it is cheap which is probably why it is included in the kit.
