What’s the main diff between 6802 and 6808?
The board is nice looking, not like that matters. Sweet game list

I thought that was a complaint with the previous model...Surprised it wasnt something they focused on and fixed

I wonder if the issue is game specific? there are a long list of games it is meant for..
curious how it works on others

Quoted from NovaNut66:

O K ... just installed the New replacement rottendog board today with the roms from my old board .... Game is up and running great !!! this is just a follow up to my post #38... there is a buzz as JodyG spoke about .. but nothing big . At least the game is finally up and running .!!

Are there any missing sounds or speech ?
That you can tell

Quoted from barakandl:

looks like the Harris speech decoder chip is being emulated some how (neat). Probably why it sounds speech sounds different.

From your experience, Is there a way they can fix it? looks like a pretty good board functionally, aside from the speech issue

Quoted from barakandl:

Respin the board to use the original CVSD chip instead of emulating it. The original chip is obsolete but Rochester Electronics still has like 7k of them. They are $10ea tho. Probably why R-Dog found a different solution.

Thanks good info . I would think with the cost of the board, even if they passed the 10$ on to us it would have been worth it. I imagine they figured emulating it would work fine though.

I listened a bunch. Def seemed as though the voicing was “distorted”. Sounds seemed the same or very close
Not sure if it would be deal
Breaker though if I needed a board ..

Did anyone hear back from rd?
I thought a few people had mentioned they were contacting. I would think they would want it working properly as well
