Yeah the (poor) topdown view doesn't do it justice at all.

Well just watched the Stream a bit more „they‘re still interactive“...ly dimming and lighting up with the code, but no animation.
No sparkling in Live and Let die and no shooter lane animation at all.
It still is a goregous machine but this was communicated wrong imho.

Dimming is still a different thing then animating the thing trough individually controllable LEDs.
Every GI bulb dims, here it‘s just a whole strip.
