I played many moons ago. Both in pick up games with others out in the woods, and in 3v3 organized tournaments. Paintball is a blast! Had a Tippman 68 Carbine and a Raptor that always fired a little hot. Let a friend borrow the Raptor for a pick up game, and got shot in the jugular from about 5 yards away. My eyes welled up with tears immediately....damn that hurt!

I recommend playing in some limited paintball events...like everyone only gets 20 paintballs for the game. More skill involved. Unlimited shooting events can get really expensive as most players use the machine gun, hair trigger approach of throwing a lot of paint at the target.
