Time Machine
Data East, 1988My DE Time Machine is almost in tip-top, but the voice circuit on my sound board must be bad. The music plays, but the voice sounds do not. All I can hear is garbled/staticy noises. I'm not afraid to test components myself, but am not sure where to start. Also, is there someone I could send this to for repairs if need be?
I've reseated all of the EPROMs, ICs, and connectors already.
I'd start by verifying the ROMs.

Since there are two voice ROMs and neither work AND the voice is processed in a different location on the board than the music ROM, I'm inclined to think this isn't about the ROMs. I've seen this issue online once before but it boiled down to "I sent this board to ___ and he said he can send me a new one or do repairs on it." It was the same problem.
