It is quite stable, very lightweight, only ten bucks, and collapses small enough to stick behind the door to my work room.

Just heft it up - one arm under each corner and lift with your legs. The weight transfers to the front legs as you lift. Hold it with your hip and one hand while you grab the stool... this is where the stool's stability comes in handy.
