Super newb question for anyone that has the 1974 Chicago Coin World Series Deluxe upright pitch and bat machine...

I just recently picked up World Series machine and for the life of me... I can't figure out how to remove the glass to access the playfield. Does the top panel come off the top of cabinet? There is a lock up there but I can't seem to get the panel off... Does it slide off or lift off? Mine may be painted shut and I do not want to force it until I know for sure...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you.

Duh... I figured it out! Remove the front top trim and glass pulls out!

Hey thanks guys! I appreciate the info... I'm a little confused though..the clips by the batting mechanism? Any chance you could show in a picture? Thank you! I didn't think removing the molding was the proper way... But I really wanted to clean the playfield a bit. Would love to see pics of both of your machines!

Awesome! Thanks for the info and pics! I will give that a try tonight. I love the Invaders from Mars! That machine is near the top of my want list!

Sadly my World Series sound card is not working properly.... The only sound it produces is an annoying humming sound when game is being played. Hopefully my repair guy can fix it... Does your sound card work? Would you happen to know of a source for replacements if needed?

My game also has some odd scoring... When I hit a standard home run... Not the upper deck one... I get credited with 3 or 4 runs... Need that fixed also. Is this game strictly a single player game also? I thought I read that somewhere... Because my 2nd player also does not function.

Thanks for the pics and info!
