I have been flying with and without a motor for many years. I have a family and never worry about what "might" happen. I live my live and never worry about the what if.

I've always wanted to try this. It's a parachute with a motor. I understand you prob dont want to be flying one in any kind of bad weather, but otherwise, don't you just float to the ground?
It’s not a parachute it’s a wing, I can turn the motor off at any altitude and yes you simply float to the ground or if you fly without a motor you can catch thermals and take them up to whatever altitude you are physically comfortable with. I like personally to be between seven and 10,000 feet

Quoted from vicjw66:

Flying so close to the water, don’t you worry about hitting it and sinking? Is that thing buoyant?
I hope you at least have good life insurance, or your kids are at least adults that don’t rely on you.
I’ve heard stories of 90 year olds going skydiving for the first time. That’s my plan. Perhaps if I get a terminal disease as well.

I have a flotation device the actuates automatically if I hit water, I don't worry about dying I worry about not living. Its to late when you are old to start living and catch up on a bucket list. I do fly much more aggressively than most but I like it, tip dragging the water is a rush or preforming SAT or a barrel roll. Its a great Adrenalin rush. I like free flying as well, catching thermals and traveling 50 to 100 Kilometres off of hot air rising from the earth is simply amazing.

Quoted from RTS:

It is very dangerous. Check out Darren Brown. He's a very talented cross country pilot.
He gets into a scary situation. Starts at 3:30. It's about a minute of uncertainty. He loses orientation.

I personally fail to see what was so scary, I have been sucked into clouds many times it's part of the sport although you want to avoid it. He has a Vario and a GPS on his rig so he was in ZERO danger at any time but for the camera he claims that was scary lol. He never lost orientation because he was not in cover long enough to do so and showed no signs of vertigo or corrective action due to his situation. All in all its a good video but there is a bit of sensationalism going on.
