I just recently bought 2 Custom Pinballs. One with the webbing on it (metal) and the other is a White Ball (Ceramic?) Can I use the white ball in my Scared Stiff? Has anyone here used it?

Could you? Yes. Should you? probably not.
those ceramic balls are nuts, way faster and lighter.

Why would you even want to do this?

Didn't someone use ceramic balls in an AFM to speed things up a bit?

Here's a good one: powerball in Iron Man.

That's called Iron Man Classic - no more magnets.

Well, because I think it would be cool. If no one has tried it...i will...just sayin'....

I have tried putting the powerball in different games, even my EM. I know others who have done this too. Why not? It's a unique gameplay changer for league nights and pinball parties. It's not like it's irreversible.

It can make some ultra wide body games like Space Invaders and Circus very lively.

I put one in NGG a few weeks ago and so far I like it. It is super fast kinda looks like a golf ball at least I think it fits the theme for the game.

Sounds interesting, Ted. Let us know how it plays when you get the new balls.

I dare someone to put one in a Silverball Mania. This just wasn't meant to happen, I think a wormhole will open and suck you to a time when there was no pinball... or maybe a parallel universe where there's a game called Ceramicball Mania.

I'm gonna put a wine cork in my WW, that'll show you guys

Yeah...It will happen on Thursday when my guy comes over to install the TV mod and the topper.

If they are ceramic the crate sensor will not see the ball.

Improve speed. Look. Feel.
Need I go on?

No you need not.

Good point.

Ok...THAT makes sense! Maybe it can go in T2 or Xenon....or I'll just sell it here...

We put a powerball in my airborne avenger for a tournament - made that old atari come to life, however putting it in a game thats already fast with strong flippers etc, could lead to some broken plastics if it start flying around. I dont think I will put it in my BSD.. but a widebody slower game where magnets are not a big factor might be fun.

As in?

IJ?

I guess it can't hurt to try in the Xenon. Not a super-fast machine.

I put it in my Tron and love it. Fun change of pace - Makes an already fast game very fast no broken plastics in 300+ games.

Ted was all: 'or just sell it here.'

While that's a valid option Ted, I have a feeling it would be good for you to just complete the white ball by buying a TZ to go around it.

Powerball in a BK2K. You'd break through the glass inside of 10 minutes.

Who needs Magnasave anyway?

It would be fun to put one in a game like ToM so when you do have to use the magnets - say for the side of the trunk(third lock), you would need to lock or unlock vanish in order to get a ball that can be used with the magnet - almost adds some new rules or strategy to the game. I think I might do that in my next tournament.

Very interesting.....so maybe I WILL try it in the Scared Stiff after all....
