I just ordered this protector for my TOTAN's left orb hole:

http://www.marcospecialties.com/control/keywordsearch;jsessionid=E581E41E4037A88E2A7422263F77BA91.jvm1?SEARCH_STRING=arabian+nights+hole+protector

I was wondering if anyone else has used it before? I'm not too clear on how to fit it inside the hole because it seems slightly too big and looks as though I need to actually clip off some of the ring to shrink its diameter.

Maybe I'm just a little dense on how to use it. (I haven't ruled that out as a possibility.) But I'm reluctant to try and force it into the hole and actually cause more damage to the playfield.

Was thinking about returning it, but I was first interested in other opinions. Thanks.

i have two of them that came with my machine i just bought a few weeks ago. I tried to fit them in and I can't get anything to fit in the holes. I believe that flat piece with the screws is designed for the bazaar hole but just the front of it. I actually got the round piece in my harem circle when I had all the ramps off last week and it was just too big. It needed to be trimmed, it was too long.

I think that one is for the genie magnet hole.
Not sure though,I didn't have that one on my game.

The one I had for the left orb hole, sat on top of the playfield,it didn't fit into the hole.

I think it works fine...I went the extra step with cliffs too.
You use clear silicon. you can not see it when dries. The other one is for the Bazar hole. It goes in front. I used the cliffy for my bazar.

algrande - thanks for those photos. I think I'm going to keep mine & do exactly what you did. Did you have to modify the metal ring that fits inside the orb hole? I'm still hung up on whether I'm supposed to just force it in (after applying silicone as you mentioned) or cut some ends off the ring first.

You should not have to modify the protector. It will go in with a little force.

I also like the cliffy for your Bazaar. Do you remember where you got it? (Can't find it on passionforpinball or anywhere else.)

I got it from Cliff.....I don't see it either, he must taken it off. Email him and ask??

Yep - it's by special request when you email Cliff directly. Thanks again.
