The heading to this Sub-Forum says:

"Electro-Mechanical

Talk about electro-mechanical pinball machines here, that means basically any pinball game before 1975."

Shouldn't it say "...any game before 1978." ? There were still good EMs being made in 76, 77 and a few in 78. Just curioius.

nope,

I think it's because the first solid state pinballs were made in 1976, though some makers like Gottlieb did not start making only SS until 1979.

Thus, if it was made in or before 1975, it is definitely an EM machine.

FYI: EM pinball machines were actually made until 1979 by Gottlieb.

I never noticed.

But since it is only pre 70 short flipper EMs that do anything for me any more, I guess it doesn't really matter.

I'm just grateful they threw us a bone and have an EM section at all.

Indeed. Where we can talk about our favorites and argue just like the DMD guys do.

If you click on 'EM Hangout", it reads up to 1979.

Hi goldenboy232, o-din +
it is tricky to be precise ... - think of "Gottlieb Stock Car": http://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=2378 , greetings Rolf

Have really only noticed 1 big argument, and around 5 interesting debates.

I try not to. I'd rather think of Williams Pit Stop.
