I would like to buy or trade for these two pinball show key fobs? Anyone have them or for other shows?
Thanks

That's pretty cool! I like it.
Quoted from fossmin:Very rare key fob here for rare low production run game, Williams Algar built in 1980.
[quoted image]
I need to find one of these for my Algar! I had no idea.
Quoted from fossmin:I have been collecting pinball promotional plastics for over 20 years and have the largest and most complete collection in the world. I have thousands of key fobs and other promotional plastics. Many rare and one of a kind pieces. If anyone has a large amount of promotional pieces or an old collection they want to sell, please contact me. Here is a rare key fob rarely seen for 8 Ball Champ. I will post others from time to time.

What is the story of “official” key fobs and promotional plastics? (as opposed to fan-made stuff). When were they first made? How many machines had one made? Did they always come with the machine when it was delivered, or were some made for different purposes such as marketing? Is there a list of them anywhere? Logically they should be shown on the IPDB pages, but I have never seen any there.
Quoted from xsvtoys:Logically they should be shown on the IPDB pages, but I have never seen any there.
I agree with this, so many cool key fobs and probably a ton of rare ones no one cares to share because such a small number of people think theyre cool items.

The story on pinball company made key fobs and promotional plastics is varied. There is no standard. Basically there was unused space on the plastic sheets and they used some of this space to make promotional plastics rather than just throwing away the unused plastic. Very early key fobs were similar to the Algar fob I just posted. Basically just black print on clear plastic. The oldest key fob I have and know of is for Williams 1974 Stratoflite/Superflite. By late 70s early 80s the artist actually started to add artwork to them. A game might have 1 key fob or 9 of them. I think it just had to do with how much space was left on the plastic sheet and how much time the artist had to devote to them. A few games, Flintstones and Shadow come to mind, had none. Probably the artist was busy on several games and didn't have time to devote to them. Same thing goes with speaker cutouts. Rather than throw away the round piece of plastic in the speaker panel where the speakers go, artwork was added to them and they where used as promotional giveaways. Key fobs and speaker cutouts where sent to distributors and trade shows as giveaways. Many of the earlier pieces (before I started collecting) had to be gotten from employees at the factory or design members, as they were not always sent out for distribution. Many are very rare and there are about a dozen I don't have. The early Bally pieces are really the prize pieces. I have heard stories of promotional plastics being swept up off the factory floor and just thrown away in busy times. Obviously, the larger the run of games, the more of these that are available. Pins with a small amount of games produced can be near impossible to find a key fob for.

I will periodically share some of mine if there is interest.
Hi there! A few months ago I started making custom 3D printed and hand-painted keychains for different pins and arcade games. SpyroFTW really wanted a keychain for his Joust arcade (and finding keychains of ostriches is next to impossible), so I ended up making him one! Since then, I've made him a Medieval Madness and a OXO and have started to make them for other people and pins as well. Hit me up if there's something you're looking for!
IMG_3398 (resized).jpegIMG_3429 (resized).jpegIMG_3505 (resized).jpegIMG_3517 (resized).jpegHere are some older Gottlieb/Mystar key fobs. These are sometimes called flag style key fobs. Very basic. Company and name of game and the game number on clear plastic.
Looking to buy and trade old and unique original key fobs. Let me know what you have. Will buy collections if they have interesting pieces in them.

Do you have any for The Shadow, Stern Jurassic park, or Houdini?

Both are $40, here's the link to my Pinside shop page! https://pinside.com/pinball/market/shops/1298-jk-pinball
Quoted from Daditude:Do you have any for The Shadow, Stern Jurassic park, or Houdini?
Not yet, but I am more than happy to make those if you'd want! I started this a few months ago so I've mostly been making ones for different games as people request them. Send me a message and we can talk more if you're interested in getting any/all of those made. I love getting opinions from people on what they would like to see as a keychain. The idea for the Bad Cats one came from a friend who loved the art on the plastic for the jackpot shot, so it can be from other places too, not just the backglass or cabinet.
Quoted from mrm_4:Any new key fobs to show off?
I have a few new ones that are pretty creative. Ill grab some pics and post them.
The coin is for my World Cup. It’s an actual commemorative coin for the 1978 World Cup in Argentina.

I was laughing way too hard to credibly “discipline” him, though I did rib him for the amateur-hour quality, lol. His little brother recently snitched on him for watching our Pulp Fiction DVD during a “sleepover” with his friends, and he admitted this was the “inspiration”, lol.
At least I’m all set if a Pulp Fiction game materializes!

I’m thinking that’s where I got mine.
I don't own AIQ. I got this with some other fobs.
