I highly doubt it. Their license is expired for LOTR, and they would have to secure it from new line cinema, and MGM all over again. Plus, it would have to be redone since it's on the whitestar system.

Quoted from rai:The Iron Man license was expired as well.
IM was also on the sam system boardset.
it would be stupid for stern to make LOTR since it's not hard to find and buy one for under 6k right now, why would anyone buy one at 7.5K? Sales would be aweful. Least with IM, they didn't make many to begin with and they made a bunch of improvements. Can't really improve LOTR that much as its' already awesome by itself.
Quoted from Pimp77:I'm guessing they would drop to the $4kish range...probably still more than you bought yours for.
I bought my original for $3400 NIB.
same here. $3400 delivered to my door.
Quoted from gweempose:I beat "Kill the Witch King" the first game I ever played on my machine. I was like, "Why does everyone say this mode is so hard?" I then went on to own the game for two more years and never beat it again.
I still have never killed him. Unless it happened during multiball and I didn't get to see it because of the active multiball.
Quoted from John_I:Yes. If Stern ever releases decals for LOTR or other older game, you will see many people sand down perfectly good HUO cabinets to put on the high res decals. The newspaper print of the old silk screening is just not acceptable in the least bit.
I'd buy a set, but would keep them until I get a flaw in my cabinet. I would not have the heart to sand down a perfectly good cabinet to apply shit decals on it, just because I didn't like the art package. LOTR at least has a more durable cabinet. Not like the piece of shit TF decals are.
