Angel Dust is one of the best sounding albums from the 90's...no doubt.

#5136 3 years ago

I was really looking forward to their summer Shed support tour.....

#5138 3 years ago

All of the Mr Bungle albums sound good as well.....they were always well produced and engineered.

Pretty cool

I have a lot of Vangelis in my collection. It's nice they finally released the original of that.
For 20 years or more all that was available was this New World Orchestra version which was basically an orchestra covering the soundtrack
The Vangelis version is one of my all time favorites .

#5188 3 years ago

Yes. Don't know the details why it was done that way but I can only assume it was a studio decision and contractual obligations perpetuated it.
I listen to the vangelis version pretty regularly.

not a Human League hater by any means...but much prefer their first couple of records.

My all time favorite 80s band. But their early 90s albums are amazing. I was so sad to hear of Mark Hollis' passing last year. I was always hoping for a reunion tour.

El Loco was my first Zz top record I got when I was 11. My friend stole it from his brother and left it at my house. We used to laugh at the Tube Snake Boogie ...fond memories

Not a big Dead fan but I love me some Zakir Hussain... I have had this record for 25 years and It still sounds damn fine!

I remember that album...around the same time as Digital Underground Sex Packets. It was pretty good. This corona Virus sucks. R.I.P.

Quoted from guitarded:

Atomizer. The Big Black LP that changed everything I loved about guitars.

Like a buzz saw albini was...

Well...The Cars ...with 5 of 9 songs being hits has got to still be their greatest record. Though Heartbeat City probably ended up selling more albums because of that Drive song ...CandyO is.a New Wave classic and is a great listen.
I think out of their first 4 ....only Panarama is kind of a a snoozefest.

Quoted from electricsquirrel:

My friend sent me this.
Kind of cool, but I don't know if I'd want it in my house.

Quoted from waldo34:

Love my Candy but Shake It Up is a quality listen.
[quoted image]

Ya...i totally neglected Shake it Up. Which was actually the first Cars album 11 year old me bought.
What a great band.
Could certainly bring the hooks.
