I've had enough to drink that I'm letting my wife play her records. She found this one shortly after talking about this movie at league one night with badbilly27
Yes both have great art actually bought the lp because of the art, haven't seen the movie but ended up loving the music. Real cool 70s vibe to it. Now. I need to see the movie
Quoted from NY2Colorado:Lemme guess...that cost you Two Dollars....
I wish I think she gave $25 for it.
Quoted from NY2Colorado:Here's a question...what are you willing to pay for an album....like a new release that was unavailable before?
Some of the new ones seem like a quick money grab...others have been worth it
I have a hard time with with anything over $20 unless it's a double album.
Quoted from pacmanretro:That's awesome! And I see the new vinyl in her stack is good music too!
My wife and I were just talking about the fact that she has more of my musical taste. There's a few in her stack that I'd borrow but plenty of crap too.
Quoted from pacmanretro:Omfg! That is just bad ass!!! BOY!!!!!
Never seen that before!! Is that something new? Or an original soundtrack???
It's a newer release by Death Waltz records. I'm not usually a soundtrack kind of guy but they have some pretty great ones. Sold through Mondotees.com.
That sphere dvd set is awesome! Phantasm would have been a great license for pinball.

This thing looks amazing to me! What do you guys think?
Quoted from electricsquirrel:So, you asked me what I think.
What's the point?
Kind of like putting a modern engine in a Model A Ford.
Just my opinion.
E
It's not for everyone for sure but the fact that it's brought in over $800,000 shows that there is a market for it.
Quoted from Fulltilt:Bet no one else will admit they have one of these.
Guilty
http://thevinylfactory.com/news/record-store-day-2017-exclusives-list-rumour/
Interesting list but of course the one I'm most excited about(candlebox ) is a cd release.
I might have to pick up some Beck on vinyl, I was pretty into his stuff for awhile but haven't listened to it for a few years now. Funny how that goes for me, since getting back into vinyl this last year I've been mainly seeking out the albums I had on tape but never bought on cd. Unfortunately a lot of my favorite music is from the late 80s early 90s and never released on vinyl.
Quoted from Fulltilt:I always hated it when the record store put stuff in the sale bin and clipped a notch out of the cover or cut the corner off.
Never understood the point of that. But yeah didn't stop me from buying them.
Quoted from HighProtein:Does anyone find any of the RSD 2017 releases interesting?
http://recordstoreday.com/SpecialReleases
Unfortunately no. I wish there was something I'd like. I love my local record store and the owner but I won't be stopping in on RSD..
Hell of a day today! Been trying to get together with the owner of my favorite record store as a teen which closed probably 20 years ago. I'd heard he had around 3000 records he was selling starting at $1. Still had a pretty good selection and I ended up with these 8 for 10 bucks. The best find to me was the Babylon AD great album and it looks like an unplayed promo.
Quoted from Agent57:Good score for 10 bucks! That David & David album is great, haven't listened to that one in a while.
I played the shit out of that on tape back in the day and had forgot all about it. Found it in the 3 dollar crates and figured it was worth that then proceeded to find 2 more copy in the dollar crates in just as good of shape.
Quoted from Fulltilt:With the recent vinyl surge, it's incredible to get 8 albums for $10 these days. Great score!
No doubt every time I go in to the local record store the prices are higher.
The cheapest copy of that Babylon AD on discogs right now in the states is 25, I found that in the last dollar crate I looked in today really made my day that was the only one that I found today I've been actively searching for every thing else was just so cheap I had to grab them.
Quoted from Methos:That was the 2nd Britney Fox album right? I had the CD of their first release.
Yep I have their first 3 cds and now the first 2 on vinyl. I love the hair bands.
I used to love Tesla but haven't thought about them for years. I'm going to have to dig out some of their cds now. I remember thinking that their music didnt hold up for me last time I gave them a listen but that was probably at least ten years ago.
Quoted from Fulltilt:Coming from Terry that's Highly Suspect".
Can't argue with that, it wasn't bad but for me is hard to beat the late 80's early 90's music
Quoted from Methos:I picked up that Winger ST album a few months ago. Great songwriting and production....every song is well written.
I just found it a couple weeks ago, it's a lot better than I remember.
Quoted from Rascal_H:Two albums I had and totally forgot about until now!
Love me some late 80s early 90 music.
Tonight's starting lineup
Quoted from Fulltilt:There's a hot album thread?
Sad thing is these are the two most enjoyable threads on pinside right now. I need to find a good music forum to talk pinball on.
Quoted from Fulltilt:Lol! I was about to post Pyro.
Doesn't get much hotter than on fire.
Here's another hot one that unfortunately only has a couple of good tracks but I'm going to listen all the way through because vinyl!
Twin Peaks kicks ass I've got 3 episodes left to watch from the latest season. I've got the sound tracks for the first two seasons, looks like I need to find the latest.
Nice work on that track Jam I sent the link to my buddy who is a huge TP fan.
https://thefutureheart.com/2017/10/16/black-friday-2017-vinyl-release-list/
Once again nothing I'm really excited about.
Back in 1993 my wife asked for one thing from the DJ we hired for our wedding reception. She wanted Steelheart's I'll never let you go for our first dance. He fucked up and didn't get it so my best man had to drive to my house and get the cd, too bad streaming wasn't a thing back then.
When I got back into records I knew I'd have to find it on vinyl but didn't realize how hard it would be to track down. Today it finally is in my collection, can't wait to listen to it with her.
Found this digging crates today, never heard of them but I figured it was worth 5 bucks to hear what Gilby Clarke was doing before he joined GnR. Doing a little research I found out the bassist and drummer went on to be in Electric Angels another great 90's band. This will either be really good or complete shit, going to give it a spin now and see.
Quoted from Fulltilt:The hair is worth the 5 bucks. Gotta love it.
Not gonna lie the hair is what made me stop and look at the back cover. Anyway it wasn't too, bad a little too pop rock for me but a couple catchy tracks. Fair to say most everyone in the band went on to better things.
Quoted from Rascal_H:Never heard of them but their hairstyles have me interested.
Good shit! Hair metal with a funky groove
They have that Jane's Addition on the big $$$$ wall at my local record store, I want it but refuse to pay what they're asking.
Quoted from waldo34:What a score! Keep me in mind if you have dups for sale. Hell keep me in mind for the pinball listening party.
I've got 4 crates of 45's set aside for you
So here's the story behind the car full of crates I posted last night. The local record store is moving into a smaller store and was having a clearance sale over the weekend. I've gotten to know the owner over the years and he told me and a friend to show up on the last hour and we could have as much as we wanted for free. We get there and he tells us flip through the crates and if we see anything we want in it we have to take the whole crate.
I ended up taking 10 crates including 4 full of 45's. I ended up with a crate full of decent stuff for me, a crate full of shity music that my wife loves and half a crate of country that I'll give my dad. Even found a few gems hidden in there.
It's those metal 2x2 studs that they use in commercial construction. It's a little too industrial looking for my taste and has sharp edges so not ideal if there are kids or drunk adults around.
Quoted from Fulltilt:Turned 62 today. Had to find the right bday tune
Happy birthday!
Quoted from Fulltilt:Give him a turntable for his next birthday.
I want to get a better one for myself so that might be a good idea.
Anyone ever heard of these guys? I picked it up because it was from 1988, cheep and I like the look of it. Couldn't find much info about them other than they were from Madison Wi and only put out this one album on vinyl only. That and there are 3 for sale on discogs one for 20 bucks and the other two are 180 and 200.
Quoted from emkay:Nice, those guys are local to me. Been seeing their shows since the Public Affection days...
Very cool! I unfortunately have not had the chance to see them live but would love to.
This is as far back as I go with them.
Quoted from Fulltilt:Damn, great tunes posted tonight.
Is it just Friday?
The good stuff always ends up on the tt when we are drinking, I'm guessing it happens everywhere.
Quoted from 30FathomDave:I saw Meg Myers open for Royal Blood a few years back. She's awesome, and I dig that album. If I'm not mistaken, she's got a new album coming out this year.
A friend just saw her a few weeks ago and said the same. So a group of us bought a box at the house of blues for her show later this year.
Quoted from waldo34:Jim Bean is being poored. Love this album.[quoted image]
I like it so much I bought it twice
Quoted from waldo34:Happy Holidays!
[quoted image]
I just bought that one today, figured it had to be better than the Christmas music my wife has.
Got the news early this morning that my friend, who got me into vinyl lost his short battle with pancreatic cancer. He was ten years older than me and his musical taste was mostly different than mine but we shared a love for L.A. Guns. Really hurts that this new album showed up in the mail today hours after he passed, I know he would have loved to hear it.
Chuck loved his record collection especially the colored vinyl. This ones for you buddy rest in peace.
Quoted from waldo34:How do like the album?
Love it, 1992 right before grunge hit a lot of my favorite music came out around then.
Probably why I like these guys so much, they have that vibe.

We always called them kingdom clone
How's it going Walter. Can't wait for things to return to normal, be nice to get together for some pinball again.
Just picked this one up recently after hearing one of their songs on spotify at work. I'm pretty sure spotify is responsible for the majority of my vinyl purchases lately.
