Quoted from pabloshootagain:Let's see if you can guess what this is? Maybe you're too young !!
I was in first grade of high school (1979 )
I remember that song.I was twenty .They played it in disco's quite a bit.
Quoted from Fulltilt:I need an escape from the Jpop thread. I think Zappa is just the one to take me away to that happy place.
Joes Garage is the best.
Quoted from Fulltilt:Late night Doors... in Discrete 4 Channel. In the day I thought my Marantz Quadraphonic was the bomb.
Love the Doors.
Quoted from Fulltilt:And .25 a gallon gas.
Actually it was 50 cents a gallon around then.
Quoted from Fulltilt:Made me feel nostalgic for some early Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac.
If the bass riff in "One of These Days" can't get you going, you're dead. (:
"Echoes" is one of my favorites.
Quoted from kwiKimart:When it comes to debut albums, this one is pretty freaking amazing...
One of my favorite albums.Fantastic
Quoted from SteveO:I played Steve Miller "Book of Dreams" for the first time in a long time. The record contains an order sheet for t-shirts ($5 each) and concert tour programs ($3.50) and other items. It's probably too late to put my order in.
BOC's records had an address where if you sent something like $.35 or $.50 they would send you the lyrics to all their songs. I did that back around 1980 and got the lyrics printed on the old green and white computer paper. I must have tossed them some time ago as I don't have them any more.
I went to the Book of Dreams concert in the late seventies. One of the best ever.
Quoted from Fulltilt:Memory of seeing the Moody Blues.
Saw them in Salt Lake City years ago with a symphony orchestra. They were fantastic. I saw they are playing again in Vegas next year at the Wynn.
Quoted from emkay:I love the silver-face Pioneers from the 70's. Currently rocking a much more modest SX-780.
In those days all I would buy was Pioneer stuff.
