Get a CD player?

I only say that because I love the crackle and pop.

What do you need to play those? A transcription turntable?

Lovely Gal Costa reissue on Mr Bongo with the once controversial cover art. I’m not supposed to be buying records until May, but I went to this shop to have a couple records cleaned with their ultrasonic cleaner. Needed to throw something on to make it worth their while for me to use my card.

Newer vinyl is most often pressure warped from being stored improperly during shipping. That’s been my biggest issue over the last decade of the vinyl revival.

You'd think that would be the case. I'm specifically talking about putting a large order in a box for a record store and disreguarding "This End Up" pretty much always. I have had to return countless LPs over the recent years due to pressure warping. If I'm buying at the going rate for new vinyl now (~$40) that shit better be flat with sharp corners unless discounted.

I rarely have issues with buying individual items from another collector or store on Discogs.

Giving the club a fresh coat of paint tonight for indoor service soon. Name a bolder Side 1 Track 1 than Maggot Brain itself!

Sold that one on eBay in 2008 for $150. Who knew vinyl would make a comeback and literally everything would be reissued. Great album!

I used to buy it because I couldn’t afford CDs. Records were like $1-$5.

I’m painting the bar on a Saturday again. Might be time to put an actual record on! (Maggot Brain).

I really fucking got into YES over the Summer. Loved Roundabout and Long Distance Runaround, but I’d just never dug in. Fantastic band!

This one had eluded me for 20 years... until today. Relatively rare LP for such a legendary band.
