Wow, I don't know why I never thought to turn to Pinside for Vinyl enthusiasts, but I just put my old turntable back together as I couldn't seem to solve the issues with the motor lagging.
I'd love some tips and such from the mode dedicated out there. I have a large collection of vinyl but I only listen to a small selection of classic rock and metal.
I also listen to lots of pre-war 78's I just enjoy the music of the turn of the century.
Most my 78's are over a hundred years old, and I find it exciting to listen knowing that this was made before anyone thought there was going to be a Great War, let alone two! Back when cars were just beginning to be mass produced and everyone carried a pocket watch and wrist watches wouldn't come about for another 30+ years!
I'm more a history buff when it comes to a lot of stuff like vinyl or pinball or arcade games. I like the story behind them which supplements the character or lack of "quality" as some may say!
I'll post some pictures later hopefully.
