I'm not sure why I've never checked this thread out before.

I've collected vinyl my entire life. Recently found these handy record display racks on Amazon for under $40 each. It's nice to have some vinyl that I'm currently playing within reach so I don't have to search through my collection, even if it is alphabetized.

Quoted from Pickle:

Freaks of the industry…I need to pick that one up. I too am running out of room slowly so need to look into some storage options soon.

I wore the cd out when it was released in 1990. "Scuse me Trooper...will you be needing any packets today?...."

They're pretty cool and match my speakers and stereo cabinet. https://www.amazon.com/ZonsWorld-Storage-Display-Environmentally-Friendly/dp/B07Q2WZXX8/ref=sr_1_5

One of the only acts that I can think of that released a near perfect album to positive reviews, a huge hit single and great sales and never released another LP.

Gregg Alexander’s two albums before he became New Radicals are under appreciated gems.

Mailman brought me a decent package today Chvrches albums were 30% off so went ahead and grabbed all of them.
[quoted image]

Love Ryan Adams.

I'm also a big Joe Jackson fan and his take on Pulp's "Common People" with Ben Folds and William Shatner is one of my all time favorite songs.

Have the CD, but ordering the vinyl tonight. Thanks for the reminder.

I’ve always loved what some call “Shoegazing” Brit music. Stone Roses, Charlatans, Happy Mondays, Inspiral Carpets, slowdive, etc.

Very nice! That Cars debut album is so good.

Super excited to get this in the mail today! I had no idea that one of my all time favorite titles got a vinyl reissue!

Huge World Party/ Karl Wallinger fan.

Get the first 4 Cars LPs. All of them are excellent.

Agreed. These live albums are really good too.

Drove my wife to Barnes and Noble so she could buy a few books. Picked up the companion ep to Texas Sun by Khruangbin & Leon Bridges while I was there.

Got home and the Donald Fagen album I ordered to replace the one that I’ve worn out was on my doorstep

Time for an adult beverage and music.

Any one know if the target exclusive vinyls ever go on sale?
Got my eye on DAMN.

They also deeply discount their Christmas vinyl in late December.

Quoted from guitarded:

Spinning the new Intervention Records 2 x 45 RPM Reissue of Joe Jackson's Body and Soul tonight.
Fucking sublime treatment they gave this one. Immaculate pressing too.
Next up will be the new Orgone and Monophonics LPs.

Love that album! Going to see Joe Jackson in concert next week.

Speaking of which, this was waiting in my mailbox today. My JJ vinyl collection is now complete.

Some of my more offbeat vinyl (boomer edition)

Commercials for KFC, the rap album that I asked Chick Hearn to sign (which he wasn’t happy with) and The Odd Couple (sorta) sing.

I love shopping at Barnes & Noble with my wife.

She gets a book (new John Gresham) and I get to pick an album.

Win/win!

On a seperate note, the G.G. Allin San Francisco gig is a sight to behold.

Quoted from Gov:

That is the only MGMT album I like, but I really, really like it.

"Congratulations" is, in my opinion, really underrated. Some great stuff on there like "Siberian Breaks".

But yeah, I tapped out on their other albums.

So, what's everyone's take on how often you should change out your stylus?

I've had the same one for years and haven't noticed any difference in sound quality. I have an audiophile friend that insists that they almost never need to be swapped out. I've also seen posts from people that change them out annually.

Hell…The huge movie poster is worth the price to me.

Great one and done album from the 90's.

One of my all-time favorite albums.

Check out Gregg Alexander's two earlier solo albums when you get a chance. (Although New Radicals is pretty much a solo album in itself.)

Quoted from HighProtein:

Fear of a Blank Planet was their best to me.
They were pretty good live.

THe first time I heard of them was when they were playing at a casino we were staying at in Vegas during the Deadwing tour. I bought a ticket not knowing anything about them and became an instant fan. "Arriving Somewhere Not Here" is an amazing song and I agree that "Fear" is a great album.

Picked up four early Bruce Cockburn albums in NM condition. I own his catalog on CD but only have a few albums. Super happy!

Picked them up at Groovacious Records in Cedar City, Utah.

So I'm looking to purchase a Sonos compatible Pro-ject turntable with built in pre amp for our casita. Does anyone have one and could give me feedback?

Thanks in advance.
