It was marketed via Wilco mailing lists and social media. I ordered mine on day one.

Besides looking good, it surprised me with the sound quality. Not the same as a high-end deck, but a great addition as a second turntable in the game room I've been working on for the past 18 months... I highly recommend the Pro-Ject Carbon DC for anyone who is looking for a well priced solid sounding turntable.
