Quoted from Scrimmbo:

Oh, see I didn't realize that. Yeah, if you see that pick it up, like I say I doubt my local joint will have it.

At least try'n support them, please.

Five years ago? I had THREE local stores around my office, and one near my home.
Now? I have none. I'm.. saddened.

Oh hell yeah, I'm still going to go, even if just for the spectacle, I'm sure I'll find something good.

Quoted from emkay:

My wife walked up the aisle on our wedding day to track 2. I remember thinking, “Walk slower!! I want to hear more of this song.”

And I'm sure there was a time later that evening when your wife wanted you to slow down.

Nice Garrard!

Picked up this weird but good album from the RSD black friday thing today. Thought it was going to be modern psych with ufo abductee interviews over the music, but it turns out it's a double album, one is some weird modern psych stuff and the other is ufo abductee interviews. Not sure how often I'll listen to the second album, but it could be cool for a party or something.

The Motown Comp of Unreleased Material and the Skip Spence Tribute are BOTH extremely well pressed and sound fantastic.

This is my rig. I’ve got a ton of vinyl. Speakerlab S7WA’s I rebuilt the crossovers, had Paul at the loudspeaker store replace a surround on one of the 10” drivers

For anyone that missed the Swords of Rage vinyl and doesn't want to spend $150 on ebay there is a new "Fire Edition"

Naked Eyes eponymous debut on the Sota.

...

Surfing with the Alien all cued up and ready to go on the VPI.

Lots of new vinyl from RSD sitting here and I'm deep diving into the 80s, instead.

Who else remembers the Dregs? Steve Morse burning the guitar.
Used to catch them in Chapel Hill back... well way back...

That bass is killer.

Probably. I tend to recycle them over and again depending on what’s playing. (:

Another Dregs. It was a great short lived band. Along with Morse was Andy West on bass.

Pretty good. I'm usually not into the jam band stuff but I can dig this.

#4625 4 years ago

The Dregs were great stuff.

I think I am gonna dip into the RSD Jerry Garcia band boxset this evening.

Last week I took a big box of CDs I didn't listen to anymore to the local used record shop and traded them for credit. As I was digging through the stacks, this guy kept following me around... asking random questions about what bands I like, almost felt like he was cruising me. After I found enough stuff to even out my credit I started heading for the front when he grabbed a Flying Colors album off the wall and said, "What about these guys? You ever hear of them?" I just nodded, said yeah guys from Dream Theater and Spock's Beard right? He quickly added, "And Steve Morse!"

I couldn't resist, I said "Oh, the guy from Kansas?" He looked at me like I'd just tracked dog poop into his living room.

I think they released it on Black Vinyl, too. But that RSD Telecaster Color Edition was a tough one to get hands on. Sold out immediately.

Some more records I picked up for dirt cheap on black friday, not the nicest sleeves but the vinyl sounds great, and my dog was there too!
