I doubt it. TBH I gave up on trying to understand how to read the code. I wish they just etched first press or something besides a bunch of letters and numbers that seem to vary based on the manufacturer.
If there’s an easy way to identify what pressing please let me know.

A new goodwill opened up by me this morning. I got a couple records Im not sure about, but hey they’re .99

I honestly don't know either. I was just curios because I knew the repressed some albums in the last few years or so).

Either way, cool

Always a fan of that Billy Joel album. A friend saw him in Atlanta around 2000. He said Billy set a bottle of whiskey on the piano when he first came out. When he left the stage the bottle was completely empty. And he didn't spill it. So I have to give him alot of respect.

On vacation, in San Francisco, excited to track down some vinyl today.

How do you guys feel about colored limited edition vinyl? For some reason I am drawn to them but I have no idea why.
Do you spend the extra on LEs or save the $?

#4072 55 days ago

I have a couple clear pressings. It really doesn't matter to me. Some think they don't sound as good but that seems like BS to me. But I can definitely tell the difference between 45 and 33.

Probably drove himself home too.

I almost never spend extra for it but I will watch for deals and get color or splatter vinyl if I can.

According to this, it's 5th pressing (or greater) since it says "Evilive Music" instead of "Hell-bent Music" on the label.

Ohh wow very cool, 80s goodness for sure

Im amazed at some of the details discogs has sometimes....and frequently overwhelmed when I'm trying to figure out small differences too.

Does anyone have a Audio-technica at-lp120-usb direct-drive turntable?

Was wondering it was?
Any thoughts?

I've had this for a few years now. I've replaced the cartridge and did the mod to remove the preamp. I think it sounds great. I don't have much to compare it to. I've only owned one other turntable in my life. I think it was a Sound Design, had the turntable, dual cassette and AM/FM tuner all in one! I drove every speaker I could find with it, I thought it was great in the 80's, but I was probably 10 years old. I don't think that would hold up today. Ha! Anyway, the LP- 120 seems to be widely regarded as an excellent entry level turntable.

I'd recommend starting with a belt drive turntable. If you really dive into the hobby, then I'd consider upgrading to a direct drive. The Fluance RT-80 was my first turntable and it served me well. It has switch to turn the pre-amp off if you have a good amp. And if you want to upgrade the cartridge/stylus that is something you can do as well (I threw on an ortofon red).

If you are handy you can find a nice vintage receiver and speakers at a flea market or thrift shop and fix that up. Plenty of decent integrated amplifiers on the market as well.

Where do you live Max?

Do you want it for the USB capability or are you just looking for a turntable? If just looking for a turntable I would suggest going for a vintage Dual 12xx series idler drive. Great bang for the buck. Depending on the rest of your system you might want to go higher end but a 12xx is a great starting point.

I love it! No volume control, but instead a "loudness" control. The loundness button was always so convenient.

How does the vinyl sound? I’ve listened to this streamed and the music is great but the way they’ve recorded and mixed their last couple of albums makes my ears bleed. Compressed until the music is just static.

You probably won’t like it better on vinyl. It must be the sound they are going for.
