Roky, The Misfits, King Diamond, and The Cramps never miss a Halloween around here!

Friday night tunes! Check out the script on the Stampeders' "Ballsy" album, pretty familiar lol! Released in 1979 at the height of Bally's best era. Probably not a coincidence . And no, those are not 1 1/16" regulation sized pinballs lol.

You kids and your technology! What'll they think of next! Haha, crazy tho! How do you get a hold of any albums? They're not making reels of music still...are they?!

#3111 5 years ago

I don't have any pre-recorded tapes now.

I use it as a tape recorder.

Is there a band that consistently cranks out great albums more than Clutch?

A little off topic but f/u to Motown. Story of The Funk Brothers.
One of the best music DVDs I've ever had.

Really enjoyed going to hear Mike Cross at the Cat's Cradle in Chapel Hill back in the mid 70s.

I miss Frank. I think I'll move up to Montana and raise me a crop of dental floss.

#3134 5 years ago
Quoted from Chisox:

The tour is now called "Choice Cuts".
He still plays all Frank's music, and does it well!

From what I understand, the legal issues between the Zappa children has been resolved.

I got to see Frank only once, in 1988. I believe it was his last tour.
What Dweezil does is commendable. Bringing Frank's music to new audiences and keeping it alive.
I hope he continues to do it for a long time!

Glad to hear he’s still spreading the word. I saw ZPZ on their first tour in Chicago and there were grown ass men crying when they played certain songs and when they had the screen with the video of Frank going. It was something! Dweezil is an insane guitar player too.

Santana. One of my first and most favorite rock albums.
Borboletta one of the most spiritual and moving.

I love this one too! Got the re-issue last year. It's fun discovering all the hidden people in that painting. I almost don't even see the lion anymore haha

Do any of you have any rare, valuable albums? I was in a local music store today and he had $300 on a metallica bootleg 85 concert. I realize that's beyond crazy high retail but got me thinking about values of records.

Is there a pricecharting type site to value albums besides discogs

C.W. McCall Convoy 1st album form my Dad, Priceless.

OK, back to the question. I was told my original Metallica Ride the Lighting is worth something, never took the time to look it up.

That bootleg sounds interesting. Always love seeing odd records like that. Recently, the record store had some cool bootleg Springsteen stuff. The cost was to much for me.

back when I spent too much on Ebay I bought a few $$albums.. Mars volta-deloused at the crematorium-i think like $350! Melvins stoner witch and houdini-both original presses $200/each..now since re-issued dammit! Also tried to buy a sublime album but someone bought it so I had to buy a different copy that night..woke up to see I bought it! So two albums for $150/each! Oops and bought roky Erickson-evil one from his brother, Sumner Erickson..paid a bit too much for that one too! ($200) no more Ebay for me!
