Awesome cover art!
Quoted from Fulltilt:Wife and I looking for a new house. I found a listing today but sometimes the address makes you say "no" before seeing the house.
What a great song! It's been ages since I've seen the video.
Thanks! E
I just completed the DIY ultrasonic record cleaner. It's based on the video I linked a few posts ago. There were certainly some hiccups, but it works and it was cheap. The video leaves out some details, and I changed a few things. I haven't filled it yet to test how it actually cleans. I'm trying to think of a way to compare before and after cleaning. Cell phone video might have to do.

Here is Green Deaths other album. Also pretty cool looking.

Looks great! Let us know.

So far I've cleaned 2 records. I had a flea market Back In Black that was a place holder until I found a nicer one. Lots of pops and cracks. The ultrasonic made it look almost new. The pops and cracks were virtually gone. Huge success. The second record was my original Appetite for Destruction. 10-15 year old me was not kind to records. I had written this one off and bought another copy. The record looked a million times better after cleaning, but obviously can't do anything about scratches from poor handling. I'd say the ultrasonic took that one from total garbage to a good yard sale find. I need to find a good drying and rinsing method. I rinsed with tap water and dried with an air compressor. Reintroducing my hard water is likely undoing some of the good I've done. I plan on modifying it to hold 3 records for more efficient cleaning. I've been considering a larger ultrasonic for a long time for pinball restoration, so I'm not figuring that into the cost. Total cost was probably less than $50 after the ultrasonic. It's so hard to be subjective when you work hard on something and spend money. Bring over some albums and tell me what you think.

Very cool! Great job.
Quoted from Fulltilt:New to me.
Damn. So good.
Love it.

Yes! I need this on vinyl, thanks for the reminder.

OK, that's weird. I haven't listened to or even thought of The Cult for many years, and this exact album came up in conversation earlier today. I made a reference to the fur hat on the cover.

Incredible Album!! "Right Down The Line" is my wife & my song.
Record show here in Fargo today.
Was in the mood for something different. I picked up King Gizzard & the Wizard Lizard... Lidia - Run Wid. The colored vinyl makes it even more fun.

My old stuff is new stuff.
Rock of Ages.
Moment of silence for my record listening as I had to tear down my gear and put it into storage until Thanksgiving due to rehabbing in my basement. Same with my pins. I’m going to be one cranky mofo for a month.

Don't think I could make it.

But it's the perfect time to sneak in some new stuff. (:
Not that I would do any such thing...

I have friends with pins so when I’m jonesing bad I can just invite myself over. Not much help on the turntable front though. Streaming through a bluetooth speaker it is.

Here’s one to stream. Just got my copy today! 1988 goodness.
This came in today. Red Sox game tonight, it's gonna have to wait until tomorrow. I find it interesting that the band isn't crazy about this album. I think it's one of their best. I've been a fan since this album, saw them for the first time this summer with Slayer. Great show.

Not just stereo, Full Dimensional Stereo.
Quoted from waldo34:Classic new arrival. Also, for anyone with the audio-technica lp120 finally pull the digital preamp out sounds even better.

Agree, analog is where it's at. Why is there a need for a digital preamp in a turntable?

I would like to know this as well. I have heard it helps - though not sure why. I thought you needed it if your receiver didn't have an analog/phono input?
My Yamaha receiver (RX3030) has phono input so I just go from the turn table directly to that.

A good guide to phono preamps - https://www.turntablelab.com/pages/beginners-guide-to-turntables
Your amp, receiver or turntable will need to provide a signle boost for the turntable cartridge. That could be an analogue or digital boost. I’m a big fan of a dedicated tube phono pre...
I finally got around to getting my US setup for vinyl. As many have already noted a great sonic upgrade.
I am using the vinyl stack and my VPI for rinsing and drying.
