Anybody have any experience shipping 45s?
I want to try hard to go thru this latest haul and maybe move along a good chunk, but not sure on best/cheapest shipping...
Was hoping to maybe bundle some up in maybe 100 record stacks....

Quoted from Fulltilt:Media mail ships heavy loads cheap.
Go a couple hundred in a box.
Any idea on rough cost range within U.S.?
Or where to find info?
I legit tried looking and couldn't find reference to cost, so guessing ill have to pack up a stack and go ask at usps/shipping store.
I honestly wanted to see how much shipping was to see if I could make it affordable to offer some up to my vinyl comrades in this thread....
A lot of the 45s so far seem to be 60s pop and some rock. With a sprinkle of 70s rock. Decent quality. Not all perfect, but mostly in sleeves and very playable.
I ALWAYS want to keep em all....But I have WAY more than I'll ever use....

USPS.COM.
Enter in the weight and size of the box they'll be in. You will be given a chance to select 'Media Mail' and will give you a good price to guesstimate.
Quoted from pacmanretro:I, obviously, am lookin for my kind of music first...then want to sell off duplicates etc...
Does anybody have specifc genre/era of music the are interested in on 45?
Just asking so I have an idea if there is any interest...
Looking at you...

Heh!
I have a handful of specific songs from the 70's, 80's that I've been looking for, and unable to find (without paying a little for a single record and HELL shipping, I mean). I'd be interested in some earlier, 60's and early 90's pop, since those two genres are lacking in my joke at the moment.

That's cool.
90s stuff is rare for me to come across (as it seems to always be for us all) unfortunately for sure
If you have a short list for a few 70s/80s specifics, PM me a few. I can at least keep an eye out as I flip through stuff.
Looks like many of these are a little on the lighter side of pop. But it's a mix.
I'm definitely not going to find any super rare expensive stuff mixed in I don't think :/
I don't want to sell a stack of albums and have anybody disappointed if it's not what they want....but I don't want to spend hours and hours to put together a short stack of hot titles for low cost and have a pile remaining of lesser titles either...makes it a little tricky for me. That's why I figured I would ask a little bit about interest of people.

Interesting you say that, my daughter never expressed much interest in music until we made the turntable the focus of our living room. She gets off the bus about twenty minutes before I get home from work and it's not uncommon for me to find she has put a record on to listen to while doing her homework. She still asks Alexa to play the music I don't listen to now and then but I like to think she's being exposed to a pretty good variety.

Hooray!
My twenty year old daughter loves vinyl too, and has amassed quite a collection.
Right now she is into the southern rock thing. Skynyrd, Blackfoot, and she is currently listening to Molly Hatchet!
That's my girl.

Mine is only twelves, she listen to some 50’ and 60’ music right now. She had a beatles period and it’s Queen’s now. I’m happy she explore the new and the old music, she is curious and ask a lot of question about music and band. I’m a happy dad!
Downside... not so much interest in pinball...
Wife and I looking for a new house. I found a listing today but sometimes the address makes you say "no" before seeing the house.

If vinyl were a topping, you'd be set
But I'll throw an extra +1 for what otherwise looks like a PERFECT night!
Quoted from Fulltilt:With one of the most perfect albums.
Played it out.
Saw them in Atlanta in ‘76 .. or was it '77? The memory was impaired.
But Wakeman and Howe were incredible.
