I really enjoy something from any genre of music that I've ever heard, but hands down my favorite is Ozzy era Sabbath. This weekend no different from any, Black Sabbath being played at maximum volume.

Ozzy was on stage and standing up?!!

Sweet!!

#2853 5 years ago

I remember seeing him perform with sabbath at 99 ozzfest....couldn't even hardly see him on stage when they played sweetleaf

Me too!! I have two favourite Neils. One's American, and one's Canadian. Lotsa great music out there.

You have to love album art. Textured even.

Well I actually picked up a few albums today that are less than 30 years old.

- Phantogram, one of the few 45rpm albums I have.

So I must have purchased this over the weekend while drinking beer and shopping online.

#2868 5 years ago

Slayeeeerr!

Ive got a few new additions as well. Will post this weekend.

#2869 5 years ago

I had Slayer's first album on vinyl. It wasn't a great album, but it was cool to have. I lost a box of albums in a move or something years ago and that was in it. I think it's worth a bunch of money now too, I paid $1 for it at a flea market in the early 90's.

Love your Jason Edmiston print dude! I have a couple myself. One of my favorite artists

Thank you, and thanks for recognizing it! I love it too, and hope to get more of Jason's work. Would you believe almost nobody has ever mentioned it when I have people over? I mean it's the Bride for god's sake, not the mother in law!

Friday night who feels like Raisin Hell?

I have all the Dire Straits albums on vinyl now. I have also been getting back into Iron maiden and Dio, but I only have a few of those so far.

#2874 5 years ago

Since you mentioned Raisin Hell you make me want to break out my Run DMC...unfortunately I still haven’t set my player back up since I moved.....almost a year ago now LOL!

But that is mainly due to not being able to set the house up completely the way we want it. Got my Father-in-law living with us right now. His house was flooded by Hurricane Harvey....still being rebuilt.....but his Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s have progressed to the point he can’t live in his own now. But it’s the sacrifice you make for family.

#2875 5 years ago

But on a brighter note I did hit 2 estate sales....one had Kiss Dressed to Kill singed by all 4 and GnR Appetite for Destruction signed by all as well...and there were certs of “authenticity” but they were most likely fakes...I say that because I googled the name of the company and found quite a bit of complaints on them. The certs look poorly printed/photo copied and had no seal/signatures/dates. $300 on the Kiss and $1200 for the GnR...I was contemplating the Kiss until I googled. There was another guy and he grabbed them. I showed him what I found on google and told him to look it up himself. He didn’t care and bought them anyway LOL! I have several items signed by Kiss and have seen plenty of their sigs....these looked pretty good and close to real examples I know of but pretty convinced they were fakes.

Need some Friday night fun.

Listening to some more Missing Persons and giving away a Styx album.

This Styx album has excellent vinyl but the cover is terrible. Got wet and stuck/torn badly in the middle.
First person who needs a copy, it's yours. Send me a PM. First come, first serve. (:

A few I picked up. Sleeves are not the best but the records are pretty clean...most important to me as I play my vinyl.

That was quick. Styx found a new home.

#2879 5 years ago

So the Lenny Kravitz is even cooler than I thought. I believe this to be original from 93 and not a repop. It’s clear vinyl. Has a little book with it. Missing the CD that came with it. Record looks like it has never been played. Best $3 I spent this week...actually my better half bought this one LOL!

Time for one of my all time favorites.
Sorry I missed out on the giveaway.
Finally, to the Pinsider with the father in-law at home, be strong and play pinball.

So props to FullTilt for offering a record to the club. I am sure I have a double or some other record someone else would enjoy...gonna pay it forward and will offer up something in the next couple days when I have a chance.....let’s see if we can keep this rolling......

#2887 5 years ago

Yeah...I got lucky and was able to get a couple...this was an estate sale with LOTS of records. I got there late and there were at least 3 dealers there so they had already scooped up most of the good stuff.

I really like this idea. I'll start combing through for duplicates as well. We can get a nice vinyl exchange program running.

Been into soundtracks lately and have always been a Rick Wakeman fan, so I rolled the dice on this having never seen the movie "The Burning".
It's AWESOME! All the great synthesizer and keyboard playing you'd expect from him. Hit lucky 7's this time.
