That's awesome! The Orleans is a great little venue too. Too bad I will still be out of town otherwise I would be all over that!

I recently bought this album since I attended the concert in 1982 when The Clash warmed up for The Who. The recording sounds better than it did from the upper deck at Shea Stadium. I think the only other concert I attended that made it to an album was when I saw Rush at The Montreal Forum in 1981. Some of the tracks on Exit... Stage Left are from that show.

That would be great to see. Man, that make me feel old. I had their early tapes on 8-track.

I saw the same show at the Oakland Coliseum that year--awesome show! I believe it was the Who's first "farewell" tour---ha!

You are correct! It was billed as The Who's farewell tour and I bought into it. My biggest complaint was the Mets were horrible back then and my seat was broken. I guess they figured no fans would be sitting in the upper deck to watch them so why bother fixing it.
Quoted from Dee-Bow:The new HighOnFire isn't released yet so I came home with these two!. Breaking down a PartyZone to start shopping it out and whooping tunes! Going to see Earthless in October! Stoked fo sho

Both bands kick so much ass. I'm hoping to see Earthless again when they roll through, it's been a few years and man do those three guys put out great sound. I have the Orange Goblin album, need to get the Earthless one too
Quoted from Coyote:When I started at this job in '09, there were three vinyl stores in my city. One, on the other side of the city, closed a couple years after I started.
The two that remained were within a half-block from my office. I went to both regularly. The larger of the two was kicked out of their location, and moved to the other side of downtown, about 3/4 mile away. This one was more of a rocker scene, and had great employees.
That left only one close to my office. It was smaller, and run by two old gentlemen that were probably around when Jazz was new. They were great, friendly, and knew their crap. I hadn't been over there in a month, dur to work issues. But decided to brave the rain for the 300ft walk to stop in.
Get over there... They're gone. No trace.
That leaves only one near me now.
I found a spot in Sheppardstown that has some gems if you know what to look for. Amazing some of the stuff I've found in strange places.

Don't know what this is but it looks intriguing.
Well not so rocking, picked this up for $7 sounds awful, only one channel. Had to break other Bark at the Moon. I'm 0 for 1 on picture LPs.
Would make a nice wall mount, and for $7 not a bad find. This is a great thread. So is anybody showcasing their analog counter part to the vinyl which would be a kickass 70’s analog sound system to play this on? I’ll post my stuff soon, I just found this thread. And regarding Ozzy - the original vinyl is way greater than the CD remastered. I burned the shit outta Diary and when the CD came out I was like “What the fuck did they do to this album? Randy is rolling over in his mausoleum right now
Quoted from Jam_Burglar:Don't know what this is but it looks intriguing.
Ah dude!! They are all great! High on fire is blasphemous stoner doom.. but shredding riffs (matt pike !) Orange goblin(England) I have loved since early nineties! More of a stoner black sabbath rock and roll thing.. and earthless is complete stoner riffage! American 3 piece that pummel u with sweet ass ..I hate to say it.. but more sabbath doom..!!

Great find!!
Quoted from Fulltilt:If it even plays it's a .50 great find!
Heck, cover is worth more than that!
It plays almost perfect. There were 6 Beatles albums in the stack including a Yesterday and Today, Introducing, Meet and this almost perfect Revolver. I ended up picking up 27 albums, many of them still in the shrink including Chicago, Styx, Elton John, etc. even a very nice Purple Rain. They all have the same initials on them so it was one big donation. There are still really good treasures out there to be found in second hand stores IMHO.

Got that album a few months ago. Man, its good.
If you are into Genesis, Steve Hackett is selling signed copies of some of the Genesis albums (on vinyl) that he played on. A little pricey at 21 pounds but I ordered a couple anyway (Foxtrot and Selling England by the Pound).
^^^^^^^ That's gotta be one of the greatest albums of all time!!!!!! ^^^^^^^^^^
Still can't believe he's gone.

I saw that this was cheap on Amazon, but the reviews are pretty bad. On the quality of the pressing, not the album itself. There was one tune that skipped for a ton of reviewers. How is yours?

So far it has worked great. No complaint!
“Starman” is particularly sweet sounding.
Quoted from 30FathomDave:I pre-ordered a couple variants of John Carpenter’s score to the upcoming Halloween sequel.
Sacred Bones exclusive variant (limited to 2000): Waxwork (in collaboration with Sacred Bones)
