It's in Full Dimensional Stereo. How could you improve on that?

Quoted from Rascal_H:Should I get this?
Yes, but at half the price. $500 is WAY TOO much. Shop around.
Quoted from Fulltilt:And one of my favorite ever album covers.
I too, love this Herb Alpert cover. Forgot how i enjoy that album. Only one I own, anyone have recommendations for others for the collection?

Other Herb Albert? These are the only other ones I have.
Quoted from Fulltilt:How about a little panty throwing music...
That too funny. What's new pussycat....
Quoted from waldo34:KISS anyone? Love this album.
A friend sent this to me recently... apologies in advance.
My wife picked that Elton John album out last month when we were record shopping. Never been a big fan but I was impressed and we had a blast listening to it.
Quoted from Fulltilt:He may be old and out of style, but Elton and Bernie made some great music.
About 3 years ago I passed on a cheap yellow brick road on yellow vinyl...been mad at myself for that one ever since. Not super rare, but pretty cool and it was only a couple bucks...not that cheap online.
Nice sign!
Sooo true....I, sadly, know too many people that don't even know how to properly use a turn table
That would be like asking somone to use the manual choke on my old Nova....or even a carburetor In general probably. Lol.

Similarly, I tried to pay for my hamburger at McDonalds the other day with a $2 bill and the kid behind the counter refused to accept it. Said, "haha, give me real money." We went back and forth a few times, i insisted it was real, he laughed. i finally caved and gave him a 5.

I remember when they were pushing those. The local postal stamp machines gave you shiney new looking ones (provably were fresh) as change instead of quarters. I wanted some because they were a new novel thing...so, rather than go to bank etc, I would buy like 1 stamp (maybe it was a few....whatever small number machine sold) and insert like a 10 dollar bill.
Remember same problem pretty quick too...people took it as odd, and also saw a couple times where they weren't always sure what compartment to put the currency in in register.
Quoted from gearheaddropping:I have been waiting to buy this album for almost 30 years. Its a nice example and I'm not going to do a thing to it.
Finally picked up a Mono Sgt Pepper recently. Never had one in Mono.KIMG3086 (resized).jpgKIMG3086 (resized).jpg

Many years ago (it was 1976 when they were new), I left a few Susan B Anthony dollars on the bar for my drink. I wanted to see the bartender's reaction when he picked up these "odd" dollars, so I stayed by the door until he picked them up. I could tell he was ticked when he finally scooped them up. No doubt he put them in the cash drawer as quarters and handed them to some lucky patron later.
Quoted from Goronic:Getting into vinyl for the first time. Decided to start with this one. Ever heard of it?
One of my favs.
Cheap furniture hack. I went with the IKEA Kallax. It works perfect for my space. Unfortunately it doesn't come with a back panel. I may eventually fit something for the back, but my 2 second fix was some strips of 3/4" x 3/4". It keeps the records all lined up, and pushes them a little forward. It looks much cleaner now. If I were to do it again I would have gone with something a little taller.
2018-07-24 21.12.23 (resized).jpg2018-07-24 21.12.38 (resized).jpgMy 2 latest late night internet shopping splurges. I've been looking for a decent deal on the Slash album for awhile. The Motorhead album was an impulse buy, I think it was $10 on Amazon. I'll never forget seeing Motorhead with Ozzy and Ugly Kid Joe in 92. It was Ozzy's No More Tours Retirement tour. Ha! Motorhead went on before Ugly Kid Joe, I'm still pissed off they put a one hit wonder in the better slot.
2018-07-24 21.13.46 (resized).jpgAlthough I agree with you about the slot order, I have to disagree with the "one hit wonder" comment. UKJ was far from a one hit wonder band. Two of their albums have gone double platinum and their album Menace to Sobriety, is in my opinion, their best album, that really never got recognized in the US.
Always been a fan and still listen to their albums regularly.
It's been 35 years.....
Screaming For Vengeance Special Picture Vinyl $12
You know you will be embarrassed when your wife sees it on your Amazon order, but JP was only 32 years early predicting the all seeing Electric Eye

My copy is trashed, defiantly ordering this one.
Quoted from JethroP:Got a new cartridge yesterday. Sounds nice!
I’ve owned about five of these over the years. Great bang for the buck.
I managed to grab Mondo’s release of the scores to Halloween 4 and 5 (and slipcase) a few minutes before they sold out today (though they’re back up for pre-order). They’re releasing part 3 next month, part 2 in September, and Part 1 in October. All five fit in the slipcase.
I got a little question... if you can pics only 4 beatles albums... which one you will choose? i start building my vinyl coollection and i don't want to buy 12 beatles albums... but i don't also want to buy greatest hits. I prefer to listen to complete album, not greatest hit... give me a better idea of their work...
what will you choose?

Get em while you can. Shure announced its stopping needle production a few months back. DJs went nuts and bought up all the M447s.

Makes sense...the M97xE was $50 cheaper a few months ago. Do you think I should buy a spare now while I can? I really don't need a spare cartridge, but styli perhaps in the future. Surely I will be able to buy replacement stylus in the future, right?
Quoted from Chitownpinball:Yall got any NEW music or just a bunch of oldies? LOL.
This is Pinside.
People here still worship boy-bands that are over a half-century old

Cause a good many of us are over a half-century old.

I don't know how fast this particular styli will be gone but I know the n447s we're bought up almost immediately. The 447 series are really popular with DJs and have no real alternative so maybe yours will stay around longer.

I'm well past the 1/2 century mark, but I can't listen to anything that is too moldy
Someone in another thread was talking about Green Day like they were some kind of "new music"; that band is 32 friggin' years old
