Quoted from Chisox:Yes, I have my whole collection in Discogs. My pro tip would be to use the barcode scanner on the app when possible. It makes things 100x easier due to all the different pressings.
It didn't take me long at all to enter my entire collection. I didn't have as much as I thought, unfortunately none of them had any surprise value. Man, I wish I had my collection from when I was younger, I bet it was 3-400 albums.
Quoted from Fulltilt:Or willing to admit they listened to Kenny Rogers...
Still do. Still have the range too so I sing along.

I was too young to understand their angst but I wore this cassette out anyway. Been watching the vinyl as it has been dropping a little bit each week for a while now... not sure where the bottom is but yesterday I snagged a copy of Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory for $4.99!
This may be a stupid question, I've seen a few pics of what appears to be the 45 adapter on top of a 33. Is this supposed to add to stability or something? Is it something else?
Quoted from waldo34:Getting my funk on to start the weekend.
Excellent idea.

I see that it's a weight. Do you think it's a worthwhile purchase?
Quoted from Shredso:I see that it's a weight. Do you think it's a worthwhile purchase?
Not necessary unless your turntable platten is too light or the table doesn't control wow and flutter well. In that case, adding some weight to the platten will decrease the speed variations.
Rick and Morty soundtrack with a double LP colored vinyl coming soon:

I use mine when the record is warped. It helps couple the vinyl to the platter.
Where have you guys purchased those weights? I have no use for one on my linear table, but may consider buying one just to try out on my Sherwood or technics.

$39 bucks on Amazon isn't bad. You could pay big bucks for an "audiophile" weight.

I think I just went on Amazon and looked for the one that weighed the most: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076BMGDBG/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage
As others have said, it mostly helps with warped vinyl but I've also noticed it minimized skipping when thunderfoot stomps through the living room.

Same here.

Such a great album. Supernaut, Snowblind and my favorite piano song of all time, Changes.

Yeah, probably my favorite Sabbath album if I had to pick one.
By the way, ever hear this rendition of Changes?

10 Thumbs up!!!
Such a cool sounding, mellow album with the synth and flute. "Dreams" is one of my favorites from a long time Joe Walsh fan.

After playin a few off this album again now, I had to go onto the "songs that make you cry" thread and add Changes....always loved the melody and slow heartfelt styling he did....
But dont ask me....I'm the one who likes songs like GNR Patience and November Rain too. Lol

The bedroom system Has a:
Yamaha natural sound R-9 receiver at 125 watts/channel,
Sony CD 5 disc changer,
DBX 3BX,

Lafayette Criterion 2002+ speakers

I LOVED the old Carver equipment. I've searched all over to find a pic of my old Carver stuff. C4000 preamp and C500 amp. So far all I could do was a lousy screen capture from an old VHS.
With the DCM Time Windows". A great combination. They could handle all the power and more.
Quoted from vid1900:How badass is the stepfather's system in HBOs Sharp Objects?
