Question: do I bring these 6 records down off the wall to listen to them. I feel like I’ve heard plenty of AC/DC Since owning machine.

Leonard Cohen - Songs of Love & Hate $6.99

Alright, if this price does not get you to buy it, nothing will.

Yeah, I scooped it yesterday along with Bjork - Vulnicura ($14.45) and DangerDoom - Mouse & the Mask ($12.99). This is like the sixth time I've bought records in the past month after I said I needed to stop. Gonna wind up with cirrhosis of the wallet at this rate.

I hear you. It’s an addiction. Just like Pinball. Not sure which one is more expensive

Since I'm heading for TPF: any recommendations for vinyl recordshops in the Dallas area that carry a lot of used vinyl? Looking for italian imported 12" records from the 80s. I know, very specific, but lots was exported back in the day, so who knows.

#2172 6 years ago

Out of town for a few days and come back to music in the mail. Great album.

After two days of driving and doing the college visit with my senior. I come home to this on my front porch. Baroness - The Red Album. One of the best hard rock records of the last 25 years and a glass of bourbon are just what I need.

#2175 6 years ago

Recent find. Took a flyer on the album having really only known the Rehab song. Turns out to be a really good listen.

Read about the band members. From Lexington, VA. Home of Frank's Pizza & Subs, my favorite ever cheese steak subs.
Just sayin'....

Some things are worth remembering. A great cheese steak is one of those things.

Next up. They’re starting to repress Tom Waits’ catalogue which is great news in my world.

I picked that one up on vinyl recently too but was already hopelessly hooked on the album from the first time I heard her sing, "What kind of fuckery is this?"

I'd follow it up with 'Right on Time' too...

I remember buying this one. Came home, played it and was blown away. The cardboard may be worn out but the vinyl is perfect.
(Maybe the Soundguard I applied in ‘77 worked).

I was in Nashville last Monday for a show at The End and I stopped by the Groove, and picked up a record there. Needles to say, I wasn't sure If was feeling irate or woebegone so I felt both and picked both of these beauties up!

I just liked it because a famous boy band got tens of millions of kids into drugs.

Another of my HOF selections.

Years ago, we saw the Replacements.

After the show, my cousin ran up to the stage to talk to the guys.
She came running back screaming that "Harry" signed her jacket.
I said, "nobody in the band is named Harry".

Looking at her jacket, it did look like it said Harry.

But.....it said "kick me".

Tommy Stinson wrote "kick me" on the back of her jacket!

What a classic Replacements thing to do.

She was crushed.

I thought it was funny as hell.

I don’t know, I always did more drugs with Grace.

Quoted from Fulltilt:

Grace was more counterculture.

The great thing about the Beatles, was that they were this cute boy-band.

Famous for singing songs about holding hands; besides their long hair, moms loved them.

Then they got an entire generation into drugs - it was brilliant.

Awesome. And you're right, that’s a totally Replacement’s thing to do. If you’re a fan I strongly recommend their book Trouble Boys. It’s 500 pages of them doing shit like that.
