That said... around 90%+ of my records have been cleaned from day 1 with my good old Discwasher. I pretty much never see signs of dust/dirt.
I once bought a Spin-Clean system. Never used it and ended up giving it away.

After 10+ years I finally decided to start clearing out an old storage unit. Wow, it can be like opening a time capsule of forgotten things.

I had my Linn turntable die on me earlier this year. I thought it was a bad motor but after reading and watching some videos, I found it might be the old Valhalla power supply. I gambled and replaced it with the better Lingo power supply. At first I didn't think I could do it but turned out to be an easy job.

The transition out of the drum solo in Tank is one of the best organ/synthesizer runs ever.

Phono cartridge outputs are often/usually lower than CDs.

I don't really know that it's 'better', but to me it's different and a sound I prefer.

Another thought of why I like vinyl...
Digital discs and laser readers I can almost, almost understand.
A disc with tiny grooves, the needle on the end of an arm, and a spinning platter thing still amazes me that it even works.

I had a "Natural Sound" Yamaha in the late 70s. I really liked it also and you still get them at a good price.

I don't know about comparison. I've had a couple Onkyo receivers and really liked them. I still use a NR838 in one of my TV setups.
