Quoted from vid1900:I still can't believe that **songwriters** are still writing songs where addictive drug terms are used to describe being in love with a woman, (it's like Huey Louis 40 years latter)
Oh come on now... that's going too far Vid. I like Huey. (:
Quoted from electricsquirrel:I can't imagine trying to handle a bike like that on a slick, muddy road.
I don't see any of the bikes actually moving.
Quoted from kwiKimart:So does Patrick Bateman...
Yeah but he has the wrong media.
Quoted from ssbodyman:Let's start Friday nite off right
Two albums I had and totally forgot about until now!

Love me some late 80s early 90 music.
Tonight's starting lineup
Hope it's appropriate to list topic related stuff for sale. Please correct me if it's in bad taste.
I have a very nice DAC just listed if anyone might be looking.
Quoted from Fulltilt:Saturday startup.
Quincy accompanied by the Brothers Johnson, Stanley Clarke, Billy Cobham, Bill Withers, Billy Preston and even a little Stevie Wonder.
Heck yeah, the version of "Summer In the City" on that album is my favorite. I actually had no idea all of those heavy hitters were on that album. I was listening to Billy Cobham "Life and Times" and the Stevie Wonder anthology earlier today.

Nice marantz. Used to have that exact receiver. Still regret selling it.

Thanks, I've tried many setups and keep coming back to my 2230. It just has that sound that I can't replace.
I just saw a you tube video that was Star Wars the force awakens with tie fighter and MF halogram embedded in the vinyl. Pretty cool.

Yeah, I picked that up. It's pretty damn cool.
Got these on Friday but haven't had a chance to spin them until tonight. I love the ritual of taking the plastic off, running it through the vacuum, carbon fiber brush, zapping it with Zerostat gun, cleaning stylus, pour a bourbon, drop the arm and sit back with the cover/lyric sheet/album art and just get lost with the music.
Quoted from emkay:Nice. I can get stuck on Thinking of a Place for days.
Definitely the high point for me on an album full of high points.

Quoted from Dee-Bow:Go to bed already dion!
Don't know the music but +1 on the lamp. (:
Been a long rough day...planned on a few cold beers and some alternative radio in garage, but after calming down for a bit....it turned into a couple mojitos and some Mure.
Lol, I have to laugh because in half the tracks, I swear it's about to break out into the Ren and Stimpy theme!!!
Quoted from pacmanretro:....it turned into a couple mojitos...
Bonus points for the drink choice!
Damn! A.I.C. was SO my mood earlier! But, I definitely needed to calm down tonight so had to go mellow

Fulltilt, may I ask about the VN lighter?

Sure. Had it around a long time. I bought it from a dealer a number of years back. Still works nice.

I had to ask as my father served on the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk as an ordinance man and also flew in Huey helicopter as door gunner.
Any memorabilia of that era certainly means something to me.

A special group. I spent my entire career with the VA before I retired. No disrespect to any other group but the VN guys were my favorite to work with. I was lucky not to have had my draft number pulled so I hope I helped many who did.

Respect. My grandfather (after Navy) worked VA psych.
Edit : I certainly meant respect to you!

You ain't nothing
We are everything
You are the black hole
And we are the light
C'mon and join the ride
C'mon and join the ride
You are crap
We wear angel's wings
Floating ethereal as chainsaws scream!
C'mon and join the ride
C'mon and take a bite
C'mon and join the ride
C'mon and join the ride, yeah!
C'mon and join the ride
C'mon and join the ride
We're the most trans disco supreme
Filing our nails as the masses scream
Man on the scene, money white tight
Low as a snail and high as a kite
C'mon and join the ride
C'mon and join the ride, yeah!

You are stone cold
And we are fox hot
You are the scissors
And we are the rock
C'mon and join the...
Just take a bite, yeah!
C'mon and join the ride
Gaza Strippers is one of my favorite band names. That guy was also lead singer/guitarist in the Didjits who were a mainstay in the late 80's early '90's punk scene in Chicago back in the day. He was nuts. They were nuts.
