Quoted from Fulltilt:Looks good too.
Nice... very tidy. If it sound good that's all that matters.
Your wife might not like this mess in the center of her living room...
Quoted from Jason43:Just pulled the trigger on one of these after reading the pretty solid reviews on audio karma. I'll report once I have a chance to clean some albums.

This is pretty much the setup I have. Works really well.
Quoted from gonzo73:Whitesnake, Slide It In. Original English Mix, not the American Version with John Sykes.
Japan pressing.

That's his best album!
Quoted from Deez:Pretty pumped just picked up this receiver to replace my crappy old Sony.

Nice ! Model 2270. Built from 1972- 1974, 70 Watt.
Great pickup.
THE WHO, Who Are You, Japan pressing.
The Who's last Great album.
Face Dances and Its Hard have great songs but not great overall.
Kenny Jones was just a lazy choice by the band, he was a friend.... but he never fit in, the Who needed a drummer with flash not a time keeper.
Quoted from gonzo73:the Who needed a drummer with flash not a time keeper.
Quoted from Fulltilt:[quoted image]
Ha hahaha
Why do you own that???
I'm a Who maniac.
I've got every WHO album, all of Daltrys solo albums, most of Pete's solo albums and a couple of John's....
But poor Moonies solo album is..... well... it's not good.
Quoted from gonzo73:Whitesnake, Slide It In. Original English Mix, not the American Version with John Sykes.
Japan pressing.

Why would you get the version without Sykes on it? Sacrilege.
Coverdale sure liked to f$%^ around with his studio recordings.
Quoted from Deez:Pretty pumped just picked up this receiver to replace my crappy old Sony.

That's my main model right now. I was going to upgrade to a more powerfull unit - but really no need for my current set up.

What speakers do you have paired with it? I've got Bose 301v. They sound ok but I want to get something better.

It does suck.... I've probably played it twice. The cover is great. When it was released, I was buying pretty much anything Who related.

Currently these. It's good enough for me.

This is better.. no complaints.
The stereo soundstage on this album is incredible.

Oh... pure collectors logic... Idiocy!!
I've got both Mixes on Japan Pressing, an American press.... or two... and the new 2LP anniversary edition... and the CD.
It's one of my favorite all time Hard Rock albums, and my top Whitesnake album.

I go for the 87 album, which to me is a perfect album on every level. Having said that, Slide it In is 2nd.
If only Coverdale and Skyes could have hammered out a few more numbers.
Quoted from Fulltilt:It really was a great time.

I love the older Bee Gees material - but you can't go wrong with their Disco work. They almost made Disco music an art form.
Disappointed in what has come out the last few years on their relationship
A medical device company buys a group of audio video manufacturers. I guess weirder things have happened.

I found the collection of audio brands under the same parent company interesting. B&W and marantz and polk and denon, definative, boston acustics
Just like tools and BBQ grills.
All those names you grew up with (Treager, Milwaukee) are all made in the same factory in China
They just stick a name plate on them, and you buy based on some brand loyalty/reputation from decades ago...
Quoted from BlackBelt:This cracked me up when I took the record out of the sleeve . Luckily the label is just barely clear from the grooves with music.

did you use a pencil to poke the label through at the center hole ?

Just like beer and electronics. Schlitz and RCA no longer exist.
Quoted from Tortelvis:Got this for Christmas. Anyone else get any vinyl for Christmas?
I got a few. (My tastes are all over the map.)

I saw Larkin Poe tour behind this record this past Fall. It was an excellent show.
I've owned this one in several formats over the years. I'm glad to get a nice pressing.
Shout out to Dragon for posting about this record a while back! I had watched the documentary when it was released, but did not know the songs from it had been released on vinyl.
