Quoted from guitarded:I will probably grab a copy if it is still around next week.
I caved and ordered the set. Now to wait until the end of July. I did grab a 10% discount code. Without it, after tax and shipping, it comes to about $620. The code knocked it down to around $560.
Quoted from guitarded:Do tell!
Just go to dead.net. There should be a pop up right away where you enter your email to get a 10% discount. Make sure to use an email you haven’t used before
Quoted from gonzo73:Linear turntables are witchcraft!! Very cool sir, never did run across one in person.
I've got a really nice Pioneer PL-L1000. Great deck.

Wasn't that in the Dragon's Lair and Space Ace machines? OH WAIT, that was the LD1000!

I always wanted a Beogram.
Quoted from balt:A pleasant surprise in the mail today.

Got mine today…putting it in one of my jukeboxes.

Sweet! Saw them at the Vic on that tour.
My local news station just did a segment on my shop for Record Store Day. Which is this Saturday. I was also able to show off a few Pins we have in store too!

What an awesome place! Wish we were closer.

Make sure you let us know when you will have RSD items for general sale. I'll definitely be hunting around for a few titles I can't find locally.
This will be my first RSD coming up. Don't really know what to expect at our local shop. Does stuff usually sell out quick?

At our local shop they'll wait outside well before the store opens to get a good shot at getting what they want.
Unfortunately a lot of them seem to be flippers.
If you see something on the RSD list that you want I suggest you call your local shop to ask how many they got, and maybe they'll tell you. Then plan accordingly.

Yeah that is what I was afraid of. Records are as bad as Mondo poster drops when it comes to trying to snag something it seems. There isn't anything I am desperate for so not a huge loss if I don't get anything. Our store is running a buy 2 get 1 free sale all weekend tho on non RSD stuff, so hope to find a few things at least.

That sounds like a raw deal dude!
I wasn’t actively looking for a new turntable but I’ve always wanted a VPI Scout and the way this one fell into my hands can only be attributed to fate and good vinyl karma. It’s been an adventure getting it dialed in but man this thing has had my hair standing on end for two days. Also, I can’t stop listening to the new Kurt Vile album.
Quoted from Fulltilt:Chisox, that's pretty fuggin' sweet!
Thanks! I’ve always been skeptical about how much a turntable upgrade would matter, outside of how much you can fine tune how the stylus rides the groove. But I have the same cartridge installed and yeah…wow. On another note, grabbed the other 2 Colemine compilations and a thank you to I think guitarded for the recommendation? If not I apologize, it’s been a while. I’ve turned on no less than 7 people to this label and we’re all hooked. Their store is 45 mins away from my daughter’s college in Ohio and I’m gonna try to sneak off for a visit.
Awesome grabs ChiSox. Big fan of my VPI.
And yeah...I am the Colemine Pusher. Love that Label. So much goodness.

Excellent. Thank you sir. It’s taken a bit to get all 3 of those comps due to each of them being on backorder for a while. Which makes me root for them even more. I just need to find out how they find these bands

Awesome store
Wow I didn’t know those were a thing. Eying the Axis as it’s my favorite Jimi album. I can only imagine how amazing these sound.
Axis Stereo and Mono both sound fantastic. Stereo is probably the one as that LP has a ton of early stereo panning effects.
Haven't cracked the AYE yet. This weekend it will get a few spins.
Happy Record Store Day! Did anyone get up early and wait on line? Our store in town shared a picture of a line that had to be 30+ people at 5:30 am.
We opted to sleep in, might go out later to browse the dregs.
If you went out, share your finds!
-Chrissi
Quoted from Gov:I opted out after seeing our local store charging $60 for records that are $25-30 elsewhere.
Checked out the new record store....most albums were at least $50. Only $140 for Metallicas' justice for all, what a steal!
Quoted from Pablito350:Happy Record Store Day! Did anyone get up early and wait on line?
I was in line at 5:30 and was the first person in line although I go to one of the smaller record shops in town. I picked up the Dead box set, Iggy Pop live album and the David Bowie EP.

An Original 1st Press of that one in VG++ - NM is going to run you 100-150 dollars. That's not a bad price if it is super clean. Many are trashed.
I think the last 2 I sold at shows went for $100 and 125 respectively and that was Pre-Vid.
Be nice to see those start back up.

Sure, I guess I could see that for an original in amazing shape. I would say this was in ok shape; it wasn't trashed by any means. No idea what the pressing was, but regardless I find that price to be insane. The other Metallica album I posted wasn't in great shape and they wanted $50 for it.
I picked up a few of the RSD titles. Notably the Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio release. It's fire.
They pressed 10k of them, so don't get anxious and pay over retail. There will be lots floating around.
Ended up grabbing the two albums I wanted from RSD on Discogs and ended up being cheaper than getting it locally anyways with the prices my local shop charges. So pretty pleased.
