I remember when that edition came out. Very nice that the vinyl itself is a deep purple color.

Quoted from pacmanretro:Had a few a bit early and got the garage "radio" goin. Funny is that the title strips aren't correct so its a drunken fun mystery ;D
One of these days I gotta' get a juke.

Hard to believe it was nearly 20 years ago. It's become a pretty hard to find album. Wish I'd picked up a dozen copies back then. Who knew.

No doubt, they're so awesome.
Tonight's menu: The new Ryan Adams has not left the top of the stack for a month, it's that good. Fleetwood Mac has been a favorite since I was spinning my dads back in the 70s.

Yes! Since I was spinning it and .... well in another state... back in the 70s.

Thought this might appeal to some.
I ordered CSNY Deja Vu on vinyl from Amazon for 8 bucks the other day.
They sent me the cd.... It was like opening the package and finding a big turd.
On the bright side, amazon refunded my money and let me keep the cd
Quoted from Chisox:OK this is currently spinning, unfortunately on my CD player (cue the boos). One of my favorites (Wagner and Hunter are unbelievable on this, as is the whole band). Has anyone bought the re-issue or should I just hit Discogs for an older pressing?
Get the original. (: GREAT choice!
I needed a little Humble Pie tonight.... "Are you ready?!"
Quoted from yfz450:Today's score 84 LP's for $50 at a yard sale.
Nice score! I'll take that BOC album off your hands for you.

I'm in love with my car is beyond awesome.

GREAT find! Spirit 12 Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus is one of my favs.
Quoted from HighProtein:Does anyone find any of the RSD 2017 releases interesting?

Unfortunately no. I wish there was something I'd like. I love my local record store and the owner but I won't be stopping in on RSD..
Quoted from Rascal_H:More than a little obsessed with the Kinks
I have give the people... and a live album by them that's great. They are not appreciated as much as they should be!
I also played one side of back in black tonight but didn't take a picture because of tequila.
So. I have several different turntables and would like to leave 2 set up. Anybody have any special way they hook up 2 tables to a receiver with only 1 phono input?
Quoted from Fulltilt:Made me feel nostalgic for some early Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac.
If the bass riff in "One of These Days" can't get you going, you're dead. (:
"Echoes" is one of my favorites.

Couple different options:
Use that useless "tape" input.
Use an EQ with multiple inputs as a pass-thru.
Buy a better receiver with more inputs.

Unless the table has a preamp, it doesn't quite work that way...
Looking more for how people have setup up turntable into the proper phono input but kept 2 tables hooked up. A simple switch box would combine all the grounds together anf I don't think it would sound too good with extra hum.
Not too many receivers probably have more than 1 phono input.
I'll have to see if any of my EQs have multiple inputs with isolated grounds that may be able to be used, but then it would be amplified and probably shouldnt be plugged into phono input (not sure on this)

Funny, my setup works just fine this way on my vintage Zenith, for 5+ years now. I've used 3 different turntables on either of those inputs and they all sound great.
I've also set this up with my 70's Marantz receiver and it works as well.
Sansui EQ + B.i.c., RCA, and Pioneer turntables.

Interesting. Do you notice a volume difference between different inputs? Just curious.
The eq could act like a preamp, but the eq output into the phono input (which typically amplifies unlike the other inputs) would wind up over all "louder" than the other inputs I would expect.

You could buy a phono pre-amp and then just plug that into the tape, vcr, cd, etc... input. Then just switch between those two.

May have to try that if the eq thing doesnt work well for me.
Thanks guys.

Most of the vintage Marantz did. (:

Or a DJ mixer.

There are various 2 channel mixer and switcher options out there. You may also look at what are often called "direct boxes" which tends to mean any number of things but there are some that operate as limited feature mixers. The more limited options would just have plugs in and out. "Mixers" are often going to give you volume gain controls, eqs, and the ability to adjust the mix coming from each channel. There are very cheap and very expensive routes. An "A/B" switcher won't give you the ability to mix the sounds at all, just select one deck or the other. The mixer will do everything the switcher will do, plus mix (and also add any other number of features).
The other thing you could do is buy a seperate phono preamp and feed one of your decks into that. The pre-amp will convert the phono level to a line level and then you can input your turntable into one of your receiver's line-level inputs (CD, Tape, Aux, etc.). The seperate pre-amp will probably sound better than your receivers built-in preamp anyway.
Quoted from snyper2099:Man I love this album:
That is certainly one not in many stacks.
