Left on the doorstep today. Another great record from one of the most consistent bands I can name. I would be lying if I said I didn't miss hearing Gerard Love's contributions though.

Endless? Just how many pins do you have in your collection?

#6653 11 days ago

Went to a small mostly used vinyl store today, and dug for two hours, found some great 1$ 4$ and 8$ dollar records.
Usually never bother with the dusty boxes, but turned out alot of fun.
27 records for 165$, 3 were brand new records so that was $65, so not bad haul.
And Jane!

Orion the Hunter, 1984.
This is the second album guitarist Barry Goudreau recorded after bieng fired from Boston.
This also features Brad Delp singing back up and writing.
Great epic AOR album, basically a lost Boston album.

Don't blame me. I would have banded the edges!

Nice work. I have one in the shop ready for clamps and glue.

This thing will be full the minute it's done and I should probably start on another one. I only had like 20 records when I started following this thread.

Nice work. I have one in the shop ready for clamps and glue.

There's a few things I would have done differently but my father-in-law was helping.

And we were drinking. And I'm no woodworker.

In retrospect, I'm fortunate I don't have one of those screws in the side of my head.

Prince, The Broadcast Collection, 3lp, box set. In book format.
Bootleg.
Each disc is a live show, 1985, 1988, 1991, obviously not the full performance. So it's kind of an oddball release, why not put 1 full show over three discs? He was know for epic long shows.
Still fun package.

I sure wish they'd put out Prince's HITnRUN albums on vinyl. I've seen bootlegs but an official release would be amazing.

Hard to believe he's been gone for five years already.

Heads up for BÖC fans, I bought this Legends of Rock CD edition of Secret Treaties, audiophile recording. Limited to 3000.
I'm always sceptical about remasters, but this cd does sound amazing. Best version I've heard, everything is crystal clear, and loud.

Here's a bonus pic of vinyl too, for all of you get your CD off my lawn purists. And a rescue Eagle!

Found a vinyl store in Shelton, WA this weekend, a small mill town. The shop, Bobland, turns out to be owned by a guy that owned a motorcycle shop here in Seattle in the old Rainer brewery building, but got priced out and moved to a small town. The vinyl was almost all LPs, lots of country, rock and bluegrass, a decent funk/r&b section, and there were a few goth and punky records in the rock section. I loved the pricing, most everything was $5, $10, $15 or $20. Picked these up all around $10 each with great vinyl, but cover wear. The Lene Lovich on Stiff was probably the score, the cover is also in great shape and it's probably a $40 record. It was so weird to spot it and Nina Hagen among the Styx and Nazareth Records. I'd neve actually listened to Tuff Darts before, but knew they played CBGBs back in the 70s, good mix of glam and power pop with inklings of the emerging punk scene and a healthy dose of rock.

If the vinyl is clean, a little ringwear or jacket damage is ok. It's called personality.
Half my collection of vinyl is Players Condition, so is my Firepower, and I love it.

There's gold in them there boxes!

Message from the dollar bin Kingdom.

#6693 8 hours ago

Yeah, that's totally the way I feel about it. And if I run across one with a better cover and worse vinyl for cheap, I can swap the covers.
