Quoted from waldo34:OK, this arrived today. Seems like almost 2 weeks to travel about 200 miles. Crazy.

I really enjoyed it. I hope you do too.
Made me fall in love with Joane Osborne.
Maybe it was meant for Christmas!
This turntable has been in a box in my basement for 6 years. It’s probably 25 years old. If anyone knows this model it’s a Technics SL-QD35. Has a strobe light and a night light. I don’t know what I was missing. Plays great. I just need some speaker stands for my old Def Tech Pro Monitors. Don’t mind the Eufy. I’m charging it.
Quoted from Fulltilt:Ted The Mechanic.
One of the greatest drinking songs of all time!

Watcha drinking?!
Quoted from Fulltilt:Tequila and cran. Nice combo.
Can’t argue with that. Nice choice my friend. I have a home brewed Scotch Ale. Enjoy the tunes.

Rocking with the King! Put that 25 year old turntable to use.

That DVD was amazing. Crazy, I know all about Booker T and MGs backing almost all Stax acts. I knew nothing of the Funk Brothers yet I own all the music in vinyl or CD. The stories of James Jamerson are wonderful.
Thanks for pointing me to it.
My Christmas present to myself! I know what I like.
Motörhead Ace of Spades Deluxe box set.
Wow, this is how box sets should be done.
2×2 LP live shows from the Spades Tour.
2 LP rare and b sides.
7 inch of instrumentals.
And a set of poker dice for rock n pinball drinking games.
Plus other cool stuff, with a bullet belt paper obi slip.
Quoted from Jason43:Usps finally delivered my Christmas gift

Is that the new thrash metal bungle album?
Quoted from Scrimmbo:Is that the new thrash metal bungle album?
Yep and it's fantastic.
Quoted from Jason43:Some serious listening tonight.

What?! I didn’t even know a GI Joe album existed. I have to check that out...right now.
Quoted from gonzo73:Need some serious Irish drinking music today,
THIN LIZZY, Legend of the Black Rose.
Phill and Gary, the team supreme. Too bad they did not work together longer.

That one really is fantastic, Black Rose and Fighting are my favorite.
Quoted from Krupps4:What?! I didn’t even know a GI Joe album existed. I have to check that out...right now.
It went on pre-order right before Christmas. Hope you find one. Target canceled my pre-order and I had to scour the internet to find another place that had it.

Although I hate to do it, Amazon has it. I really try to avoid buying LPs from Amazon. In any event, I’m glad I found it!
Amazon is the vinyl source of last resort.
Support your local shop's.
But it's amazing how hard it is for local shops to get orders filled, the distributers dont want to have lots of stock on hand.
Three of my friends own record stores, and they all say the system is broken.
I buy from amazon only rarely.
Friend of mine owns ElusiveDisc.
So. I buy everything I can from them.
He and his son run a good biz filled with friendly staff who always do wht they can to resolve any problems I may encounter.
Quoted from Chisox:I usually enjoy bluegrass immensely, for 10 minutes. Then it starts bugging the shit out me. That being said, this is really enjoyable all the way through
Would an afternoon with Sturgil and Bill not have been great.
Just got my Marantz back and set up. I let a friend use it for the holidays, as his Fisher 400 crapped out.
Model 2252-B produced from 1977-1980
Great mid-level 70's reciever, super warm sound.
52 Watts per channel.
Marantz can often be over bassey with a muffled sound, just keep your bass set at neutral, especially if useing the loudness setting.
This era of Marantz is a close second to the perfect clarity of the G series Sansui's of the era.
First spin, Def Leppard debut album.
Japan pressing with Obi and insert.
Hello America!

Long long ago I had a more pricey stereo system...
But I 'upgraded' my Fluance RT-80 to an imported Denon DP-51F (I like the automatics!) from Japan, even had to search for an affordable transformer.
Running off of my Onkyo NR676 so I can mix the HDMI and the Phono!
Just picked up the latest Iron Maiden album - and not sure how I feel about it just yet, but it's... Iron Maiden...
