Quoted from Thunderpants:I'm not a big fan.
I love ALL vinyl...but I love well pressed color vinyl most.
More Alice!
Rhino has done a great job reissuing the catalog all the way to Dada. Nice packaging, remastering, and good sounding color Vinyl.
I've picked them all up except for Lace and Whiskey.
Love it to death is my stone cold favorite.
Just got Dirty Diamonds, not a Rhino release.
It's a really great album that sounds more like the classic hard rock boogie of the classic Coop band, than the foux metal of the late eighties.
Quoted from Thunderpants:Gonzo73, what's with all the jp press? you live there?
My guess is Obi Strips and superior sound quality.
No, just collect them, some say they are better sounding pressings, but who knows.
I have a friend who travels to Japan 3 times a year and buys records for his shop, I get first pick of the records, and I give him a long shopping list.
Because of covid I only have access to my Japan Obi collection, and new stuff, the majority of my records and all my regular pressings are elsewhere.
Quoted from wcbrandes:This album is well recorded and pretty damn good!

Please tell me more about that turntable in the background

Rondino Nero, by JR Transrotor, made in Germany
It's the super deluxe turntable, pressure cooker, espresso maker, vanity mirror, and all in one awesome gadget!
If that brush isn't geuine silver badger hair, you aren't getting the most out of that turntable.
Nice ride!

nope it just plays Vinyl.
It's a work of art, is what it is.
Gorgeous.</blockquoteCheers mate, have a dedicated listening room in the house and took a long time to put this system together. If I ever move most will probably have to stay as the speakers alone are roughly 550 lbs a piece
Shure and Stanton (among others I am sure) produced Carts with integrated brushes for a reason. Dust makes Rust look like it has Narcolepsy...
The setup you see here is a marked improvement on that concept. Works really well.
Quoted from CrazyLevi:The little dust brush is just too much!
Hilarious and awesome.
Horse hair from a Fusaichi Pegasus.
Quoted from CrazyLevi:I assume that's the steam turbine below it?
Exactly, and to save time they just take the piss from the same Fusaichi Pegasus to create the steam!
Redeemer of Souls.
Firepower.
The last two Priest albums are two of thier finest. Rob's voice is as strong as ever. Richie Faulkener has fitted in perfectly with Priest.
These really are two of my favorite Priest albums of all time.
If your a fan, and haven't given them a listen, you're in for a treat.
Quoted from guitarded:Phono Preamp, Step-Up and a Speed Controller if I guess correctly?
you are correct sir, and at the bottom is a 250 lb power cleaner before she gets any current whatsoever
Quoted from wcbrandes:Rondino Nero, by JR Transrotor, made in Germany
Only $13k! I's a steal!

I’m with you on Firepower but I found redeemer a little dull and didn’t love the production.
Got this copy signed at an event in union square...brought a Firepower Backglass but couldn’t get it past the goons!
They are working on another album now, I’m sure there will be some killer tunes on it!
I saw High on Fire at Alex's Bar in Long Beach 10 years ago, and saw them open for Fu Manchu several times before that.
Fun live band.

Yeah they’re great live and LOUD.

1999 they played the Brighton Bar in Long Branch. I video taped it, but it was so loud you really can't hear anything.
Quoted from guitarded:Great LP.
I could listen to an endless loop of Peter Gunn.
