Quoted from CrazyLevi:Love the original with the embossed cover. Got this today after losing it in High school.
My favorite sabbath album. And it just sounds better this way.
Is that an Olive Green Label? Nice sounding pressing if it is. The 1st is my fav. But this one and Sabbath Boody Sabbath are neck and neck for #2.
Quoted from pacmanretro:Digging out some CDB for tonight....
RIP Charlie.
A little Buddy and Charlie.

No I think it’s a late 70s pressing. White label. Sounds great.
I have a vol 4 olive but I somehow lost the sleeve lol. At least I can still listen to it.
I remember that album...around the same time as Digital Underground Sex Packets. It was pretty good. This corona Virus sucks. R.I.P.
I had to look it up, but then I was like- yeah it sounds vaguely familiar and I have seen that movie once.
Quoted from bingojoe:Hey, how many of you out there still have the first record you ever bought? I do... $2.98 at Grand Central in the fall of 63. I was 8 at the time, bought it with my "lawn mowing" money.
Nice. I grew up doing the same thing. Scrounge jobs for a month, off to the city to buy LPs. Rinse. Repeat.
And yes, Number of the Beast. Still in my colection.
Quoted from Fulltilt:Might be my favorite ever Record Day release. [quoted image][quoted image]
I got to see him a few yrs before he hung himself in a jail cell at a short lived place in New Hope PA (birth place of Ween) called Misbehavin Mamas.
Our jaws hit the floor and did not come back up till he was done playing. It sounded like he is using every effect in the book and you look at his feet and there is not much there, it is all in his fingers.
Quoted from waldo34:Scored my first Suzi Quatro album today.
New documentary just came out, I think its pay only on YouTube for now.
Waiting to see it.

That's awesome thanks.
Quoted from nwpinball:My 2nd favorite Bad Religion album, the year this came out I listened to it every day for about 6 months.

For a second I thought the name of that album was “BUFFET”
Listening to this tonight. So awesome.
Quoted from guitarded:Nice.
Atomizer. The Big Black LP that changed everything I loved about guitars.
Like a buzz saw albini was...
Quoted from bingojoe:Deep Zeppelin / Led Purple, recorded in 69, released in 71 in quad. Skip their later stuff, this is the one.

Wow, nice! Hadn't heard this before... lots of Dio-era Sabbath sounds too.

As a person who has only ever heard their later stuff, I have to agree, this is waaaaaaay better.
Recent additions:
CJ. & Co. +Johnny Guitar Watson. Solid funky disco
Gyedu Blay Ambolley Highlife (Reissue) Awesome Highlife from Ghana, check out
Nese Alkan Tut Kalbimi Tut. A real masterpiece in Turkish folk music plus a real kitschy Disco track "Tut Kalbimi Tut
Spent a small fortune on this one (go ahead and laugh at me)
Quoted from bingojoe:Hey, how many of you out there still have the first record you ever bought?
I do! Well, my mom bought it at Walmart. I was twelve.

RIP MCA
Quoted from CrazyLevi:Well I could use a copy of no more tears but I’m not sure that’s even out there.
Hen's teeth, only pressed in 1991, not counting Russian bootlegs. I can't believe they haven't cashed in on the overpriced deluxe reissue wave.

Looks I can get a Dutch pressing for around $150
What rip off
So yes I’ll probably buy it
Swung by a friend's house tonight. Grabbed some food and spun a few Don Henley singles. What a good night.

I got a Paul's Boutique quadgate but it's a reissue from 15 years or so ago. I don't think I've listened to it once. Great album but I don't need to be getting off the couch every 15 minutes to tend to it.
To answer the question: I'm pretty sure it was the soundtrack to Christine. Carrying it around the house one day it slipped out of the jacket, hit the floor, and took a big crack. It ended up being the second record I bought too.
No idea what happened to it. I think I let someone borrow it in high school.

Yeah, it just needs to flow, actually better on CD or cassette. Just realized I have both, but not the LP, maybe that's subconsciously why.

I picked up a Johnny Watson album not long ago, solid stuff. I'll have to keep an eye out for Ambolley, that's fun.

Good old Johnny Guitar, i watched him in Den Hague in 93. time flies..
You could look into "Doing it in Lagos" also.
A 3x Lp set + 1x7" compilation which can be yours at a reasonable price
https://www.discogs.com/Various-Doing-It-In-Lagos-Boogie-Pop-Disco-In-1980s-Nigeria/release/9425519
Some really really good boogie and disco tracks.
The whole set can be sampled on YouTube.
Stay tuned for my adventure in Moroccan stuff, due next week
Quoted from KongDonkey:Playing with the boys on loop...shirt off in the game room imagining goose serving me up that perfect spike...
[quoted image][quoted image]
You've seen this?
Quoted from Scrimmbo:Love Johnny "guitar" Watson. His 50's stuff is fucking excellent and his funky 70's stuff is great too. Also picked up the Dennis Wilson solo album at a decent price at the record store today, been looking for it for years.

He died of a heart attack on stage.
They say his last words were “ain’t that a bitch” but it can’t possibly be true can it?
Quoted from pinwiztom:Back in 2000, when pinball was almost dead,
I had a subscription to the now defunct fanzine called MultiBall (out of Portland)
covering the pinball and rock and roll scene.
They had a habit of including a 45 record
(usually from some indy label and non signed band)
tucked inside most issues of the fanzine they published
and sent out to those that subscribed.
In issue #19 I think, was an early White Stripes single called Handsprings,
that tells the story of a guy (Jack) that loses his love in a bowling alley
to a another guy playing a game of pinball.I still got the issue and single stashed away somewhere,
Probably fairly rare release of Jack White discography.
Today's mail call....you made me do it....ok, maybe not made me.

Already picked up 'Doing it in Lagos' - what a trip! I like throwing that one on while I'm cooking dinner.
Bring on the Moroccan, I love their food and the two go together for me.
