Long Story short, have a SAM (Tron) MPU that needs a minor repair, but DO NOT want to go through the local distributor to have it fixed (another long story) as Stern won't (which is silly) take it directly.

Try Rob Anothony. Lock when lit. I know he does install NVRAM on these SAM CPU boards, which are surface mounted ICs.
