I have a Sheriff available to me, but it's not a game I'm after. Anyone else (willing to come get it, central east coast FL) interested?

Found a local friend who wants it as a starter machine -- I've recently inspired him to get into pinball. Unfortunately, he's out of town at the time, so I went and bought it for him. If he decides upon seeing it (in two weeks or so) that he doesn't want it, I'll put it up for sale on here.

Now that I have it, I can post some real pics. Current owners have had it since the 90s, and said it quit working long time ago. I quickly found the problem was a ghetto power cord splice ... with a little jiggling of the wire, it came to life. I started a game and -- gotta love EMs -- everything seemed to work.

Some other things I noticed:
- Obviously, the playfield needs a heavy cleaning and fresh rubbers. Some paint wear around some lenses, but overall mostly intact.
- The wires for the on/off switch were spliced together, as the switch itself was jammed and has been cut out of the bottom of the machine, lol.
- The legs and coin door and coin drop were painted gold.
- There was some touch up on the right side (only) of the backbox and cabinet with the same gold paint.
- There are some holes / footprints on the sides of the backbox for some latches that had been added for the backbox cover. (Odd, since the lock worked just fine.)
- The colors on the backglass are certainly faded (the hooker is now a blonde instead if a redhead, lol) but the paint itself is almost entirely intact -- just a few teeny flakes out of the lettering.

Should be a good starter machine for my friend, or a decent machine for one of you if he turns it down! I'll let you know in a few weeks when he gets back.

Just for clarification, this isn't free. There would still be a purchase involved if my friend turns it down, because I had to buy it from the previous owner. Sorry if the thread title was misleading -- I was trying to see if anyone wanted to BUY it from the previous owner since I didn't want it myself. Then, when my friend said he wanted it, I went and BOUGHT it myself on his behalf. If he turns out to change his mind, someone else can buy it from me. At least it's been spared the scrap heap and is now in the hands of the pinball community.

FYI, my local buddy decided to buy it off me as planned. He picked it up today. Thanks for the interest!
