Stern, 2013As the title suggests has anybody used the carbon-fibre type magnet protectors from Cliffy .
I have heard that the metal ones can curl up over time and these new type fix that problem .
Not sure if they are a production thing of Cliffy's or just a few prototypes . Can't see them listed on his site but have sent him an email .
I was a beta tester after my metal one started curling. 5-6 months in its doing great. I also suspect the CF is thinner, less impact on ball direction. I would solely use these in the future.
Not to steal from thread, I have purchased the carbon rings for my IRON Man. Should you still use a mylar ring outside the circumference of the carbon ring? My iron man has not wear now as I have a mylar circle over the magnet core and about 1/4" onto the PF.
Anyone have a pic of this installed? Never seen it. Is it actually real carbon fibre or just a look-a-like?

Had forgotten about this thread . Bit of an update , I have these installed . They look and work great . Will get some photos up when I can .

Don't think Cliffy has them ( carbon-fibre type ) listed on his site . Just send him a message and I'm sure he'll be able to make some up for you .
I'm assuming that each one for different machines are custom made to size to fit different machines . If Cliffy already makes the steel type protector for magnets for those games then he could easily make you some out of CF .
