What a gem. Well said.

Quoted from Canuckgamer99:

When you are shipping from a business you save the lift gate and residential pick up fee (about $150) vs shipping from a person’s house. Same on the receiving end if you ship to a business or depot.
So in the end it’s a little bit more expensive to pay a company to pickup and pack for you but you save money on shipping costs. For me personally all my pins are in the basement, I work 10 hour days and a have a bit of a bad back so I’m happy to outsource the shipping and packing. Usually $250-350 extra for a professionally packed machine but saving $150 on shipping remember so what an extra $200 in the end all said and done? TBH all the pins I had to ship this way on a $10k ++ purchase buyers usually don’t care.
Anyway if anyone is serious on Avengers I’ll knock off $250 to subsidize packing etc. special Canadian Pinsider discount eh!

If not for RUSH $ going out
I’d be all over that AC/DC.

Quoted from Edster:

Chambahz is a great guy and should get what is is asking...
I am thinking of selling the following games, no trades. Prices will be relative to current market. Only message if really serious. Local preferred, I am not a shipper.
Scared Stiff (restored and heavily modded w/skull topper)
Dialed In LE
Elvis (HUO/Amazing condition)
Monster Bash Remake LE
ACDC Prem (HUO never moved) color DMD & shaker
Medieval Mad. (original restored *Bill Davis* w/color DMD)
Champion Pub (colorDMD)
Iron Maiden LE
KISS Pro (last to go. Might keep it) ** backglass autographed by Peter Criss, he'll probably never do another one **

Moving forward.

Anyone with experience, please PM me.

Also any advice on working with distributors on getting an LE. being in Ontario, I have given up all hope.

Thank you in advance.

This. Is a problem.

Quoted from Pinwalker:

I have purchased 5 NIB in the last 366 days from Player One in Mississauga. I still can't get a sniff at an LE purchase. Maybe you will have better luck.

LZ is done. No way they do another run.

Was a disappointing pin to say the least.

Here we have a “limited” relatively small community of pinheads spread out over the country. (In my area Greater Toronto) there are very limited even Arcades where one could play pins. In short, it’s much much harder to find games locally so we include Canada as a whole.

The USA has such a large population and more large cities, hobbyists, distributor (1 Dist for all of East Canada Monopoly), suppliers etc etc. Canada is small, don’t let the geographic continental mass fool you. In USA your large cities combined have the population of our entire country.

Also, we have taxes & duties

Also the Exchange rate is a Killer!
Our weaker dollar doesn’t help matters

That’s how it is for Me anyway.

With any hope I’ll be able to move to the USA in the near future.

Quoted from Mr_Tantrum:

While I'm not Canadian nor do I live in Canada, I'm always curious about this thread when I see it. Just wondering how a pin for sale in Canada helps someone who lives across the country (i.e. no different than having a thread called "Anybody in the US Have Any Pins They Want to Sell?"). Might be just a countryman thing (which I have no qualms about), is it difficult transacting business in the US for a pin that might be closer to you than somewhere else in Canada?
Just curious, not making any judgement or moral statement.

True Story

Quoted from Rob_G:

New LE are almost unobtanium because deep pocket buyers buy every one and they get theirs while others probably don't.

Less than a NIB Rush pro, if you ask me.

And you can pick up a NIB Rush at pretty fair price.

Quoted from Waynezor:

What's a MET pro worth these days?

#21107 1 year ago

Agreed.

Ill toss in an example.
My MET Prem, I’ve had for years
But still No colour DMD. it’s not the cost.
I just don’t see value in replacing my working DMD with one that adds colour. Just my humble opinion as an example of “eye of the beholder” lol

Quoted from MrMikeman:

This again ^^^^
About time we go back to pre-pandemic thinking on mods. Most mods add ZERO value for resale. Pinsound, ColorDMD are the exception given the ability to use them on any game. If you want to recoup some of the cost then remove the mods and sell separately.

Quoted from Jcanuck72:

Thanks for all of the input on buying a pinball (Rush)! So it sounds like there isn't a huge difference between buying new or used in this case.
It was mentioned that Stern is not making Rush right now ... Do they publish their schedule?
Also, do you think there is chance of a price increase? It seems hard to believe, but everything else keeps going up ... Maybe another reason to buy used.

When he talks pinball, I can listen for hours.

He makes many of My favorite YouTube tutorials.

Quoted from Chambahz:

Bowen makes pins look fun.
If I were that good, I could enjoy any machine too!
