Quoted from DW3000:No, but just wanted to say you have a great username - thought you might like this, which is hanging up in my games room:
http://imgur.com/g3wo31c
..of which I apparently can’t post images in this thread, hence the link.
That's epic! Wizard's Castle was an arcade here in Toronto that I pretty much grew up in. My dad used to take me there every weekend, and I figured it would be nostalgic and cool to have my boys grow up playing in there to (it just happens to now be relocated in our basement haha).
I'm getting an artist to put together a cool logo, and will probably have it painted on the wall.
Never grow up
Quoted from dirkdiggler:I'm curious if Wizards Castle was a franchise or just a name that got used lots? I can remember one in Southgate mall in Edmonton and I think the arcade by fantasyland in West Edmonton mall was a wizard's castle?
Did it have the same logo as the link above?
Quoted from dirkdiggler:I think Cam in Edmonton has a Woz on kijiji still.
Happen to know his Pinside name?
Quoted from HoneyBadger:Player one has WOZ!
Yeah, a YBR for $11,500 USD. No thanks!
Quoted from extraballingtmc:But it’s yellow and yellow costs 2500 more than red which cost 2500 more than green...
I like what JJP is doing with their games, but not their pricing.
Just Jacking Prices!
Quoted from toasterman04:Breaks do a mind and body good!
I found myself at a point where regardless of what new game I got, I still wanted something else a month later.
I think that's the nature of pinball and humans.
I wasn't taking enough time to appreciate what I had, because my mind had already moved on to the next thing I "needed".
I've decided now to focus on what I have, which is more than I even need to be honest. My goal is to play them thoroughly, try to put up some respectable scores, and in a few months, I'll consider getting something else in exchange for one of the games I have.
First world problems
Have a HUO Spiderman that just came out of the box a year ago and looks like it's brand new.
I'm selling it for what I paid... $7000.
It has a Cointaker shaker and I put non-ghosting Comet LEDs throughout.
I'm also open to trades (+/- cash) for the following games in only excellent condition:
- The Shadow
- BSD
- WOZ
- Hobbit
- Game of Thrones
- White Water
Prefer local deals, but open to others.
PM if interested.
Quoted from Cam:Everyone, he’s referring me.
Dear Sean, Damien, or wizardscastle,
Unreal, now you’ve threatened me via text to call everyone at the company I work at to tell them I ripped you off?! And now publicly saying you’re going to get the Police involved? I’ve done nothing wrong, short of not replying promptly enough for your liking.
After hounding me for WEEKS via kijiji, pinside and text. I finally agreed to ship, take many rounds of pictures. You’ve honestly been the absolute worst buyer I’ve ever dealt with on kijiji or pinside. I’ve never met a more impatient, pushy and demanding stranger. You’ve wasted way too many hours of my time.
I’m a fair and honest guy, I was never intending to keep your deposit, I’ve just been through an insanely busy week at work and home (and I warned you of that). But after the shit you’ve pulled consider it gone. I hope this turns out to be a cheap $100 lesson for you about being a nice, decent and respectful human.
If you were going to lose your nut, why not just call me like an adult?
And why do you have 2 pinside accounts?
Ps. If you really need the $100 back to help pay for the hot water tank that you used for an excuse to get out of the deal, call me.
Cam
Hahaha. This is often why I consider stepping away from this hobby, or at least the social part of it.
You've changed the price 3 times on this game trying to rope suckers it. I took the bait, stain on me
You say I hounded you, but you reply with a one liner and disappear.
I have met a lot of excellent people in this hobby, and I've done bought and sold my share of games. Everyone who knows me, knows I am completely honest and fair.
I don't change price, I don't go MIA when someone is talking to me about a game, and I don't keep a deposit because I took 10 photos for someone that ch aged his mind the next day.
Keep the money. I dodged a real bad deal here, and if it only cost me $100, I made out well.
Is there anyone in Canada that offers board repair? I have a WPC-95 MPU with some battery corrosion.
I see a guy on eBay under "tommypinball". Is that Nitro?
If anyone has any recommendations for this type of service, it would be appreciated.
Cheers!
Quoted from Spencer:I sent my Stern Spiderman to a guy in Ontario. Amazing service, fixed and returned in a week.
Can you PM his contact?
Quoted from BMHouze:I have dealt with tommy for board repair aswell.
Great flat rate, quick turnaround, pics if you request.

Quoted from transprtr4u:Wizardscastle in Toronto was wanting one of these
Thanks brother!
Quoted from Saltimbanco:Good legit seller btw! He takes great care of his games!
Appreciate the kind words
This game look like ti just came out of the box. I don't know that there has been an LE for sale in Canada yet, as this game is highly sought after and extremely rare.
I regret selling it, but I've committed to another game, and the money tree has been chopped down.
Anyone want to sell a Super Chexx?
I prefer one of the new LCD screen ones if you have it.
PM me if you do.
Trying to ship a SuperChexx from Alberta to Ontario.
Anyone know a transport company that will do door-to-door?
D&R says they only do depot-to-door, or vice versa.
Quoted from northerndude:Manitoulin
Ya, except they want $750 for door-to-door, and $550 for depot-to-door, compared to D&R that will do the latter for $325.
Quoted from PinsOnly:Come and pick it up and bring that Deadpool LE with you! Then you can take my Super Chexx too!
Convert that Stern Pirate into a JJP Pirates and we'll trade
Quoted from KnockerPTSD:I did Sask>T.O. this spring for $155 (Manitoulin)
Quoted from northerndude:Man, I've done Ontario Depot to my door in SK for $285-350 twice
WTF is up with their pricing now then?
Super Chexx is only 130lbs. Wonder if it's the dimensions??? 48x48x60.
Just wanted to say thanks to Willathrilla for a smooth transaction. Family is loving the SuperChexx! Great guy to deal with!
I also want to thank transprtr4u for what might be the single greatest act of generosity and kindness I've personally ever seen and experienced.
Rob and I had messaged a couple of times on the forum. Initially because he wanted to take my beloved Medieval Madness off my hands, and then on a few occasions where he'd come across games that I was looking. In this case, he knew I was after a SuperChexx, and almost immediately after Will had posted, he had already made introductions.
Problem was... Game was in Alberta, and I'm in Ontario. The seller wasn't looking to ship, so Rob offered to help me move it.
He rented a van, arranged packing supplies, worked with Will, and did a 6 HOUR round trip to get this game back to his place so that him and his wife could carefully wrap it so that it would arrive in good order.
And to top it all off, he offered to do this out of the goodness of his heart. Despite having a lot of his plate already, he did all of this for a complete stranger, and only asked for me to cover his costs.
I've done nice acts for strangers. I've had others show me kindness too. But never have I seen a person go out of there way like this. He has inspired me to be better.
With all this crazy shit going on in the world right now, and everyone looking out for themselves, this was a beacon of light in the darkness. This is something and someone I will never forget.
Rob, you're an amazing person, and you have a new friend here for life brother. You can call on me anytime!
Thank you, thank you, thank you and thank you again
Quoted from pinballjah:Just started selling in Canada. Full size with 300 games.

List of games:

Can anyone speak to the quality of this? Seems like a pretty cool system.
Also, what are the thoughts on Atgames vs Arcade 1up pinball tables?
Quoted from northerndude:Yeah. I like TNA also. I’m also scared I’d get tired of it, I played it a handful of times at a couple different locations. They both bring something different. But both have enough coolness that they are awesome in their own way.
TNA is the shit! I worried about the simplicity of it, but there is some beautiful about the simple objectives and the vicious brutality of drains that makes this game one of the most addictive I've ever played and owned.
Beatles was a grossly overpriced snooze fest the few times I played it, but that's my personal opinion only.
Anyone in or near Winnipeg that has an extra sheet of wide body glass for sale? Need for a friend.
Please PM.
Quoted from pinballjah:Guy in Ontario had one, think he is looking for a trade. wizardscastle
Unfortunately, have a trade pending on this one.
Quoted from shaub:Yeah, but not game of the year, clearly a dud, offload that thing ASAP!
TWIPY hahaha... Wasn't Munsters on the list?
I got a badge for a colouring contest when I was 6 that means more.
I have a beautiful Hobbit Smaug LE for $11,500.
Also, open to trades, so let me know what you have.
Local deals only. Thanks!
Quoted from transprtr4u:great guy to deal with......
Thank you,.sir!
Quoted from wolv3:Buy now if you're on the fence. Fun game and the last game before JJP starting having playfield issues. Game has been creeping up in price too as more come around to it.
Definitely a great value compared to newer, more expensive games.
Quoted from dr_nybble:Does Nitro have anything other than Led Zeppelin in stock? Looks like Turtles Premium too. With the looming Stern price increase sad fact is everything is going UP!
That's why my TMNT Pro with shaker for $8200 is a score
Quoted from transprtr4u:he knows how to package a game for shipping !
buy with confidence ! great seller
Learned from the master himself
Thank you sir!
Quoted from northerndude:There is 550. Also, they are putting them back on the line to remake.
Not shitting on your sweet pin (I want one, a lot)
I doubt they make many more even with the 2.0 model. Plus, who doesn't love an OG
Quoted from PinPickle:I’m a single dad of 3 for the next couple days but I can help Thursday between 9:30 and 3:00.
Will take you up on beers another time. I promise! Have to grab the kids from school. And no offense, your a local fellow pinhead so I will be insulted if you offer me money.
Quoted from mIkea:Yup I’m in Milton too- when do you need to move it?
Quoted from guard:I'm Guelph but if no one is closer I could help.....
Loving all this kindness!
This is what I love seeing in this hobby/community!

Are you going through with the LE?
Hey guys, what's the service you use where you can get mail forwarded from the US and can pick it up in the Toronto area?
Thanks!

Thanks!
Quoted from extraballingtmc:Yes, can’t tell it’s there, very cool effect. Buy 2 packs and it’s a bit cheaper.
What's the price on these?
Quoted from extraballingtmc:Shoot for the stars land on the moon.
If purple is worth 40k why tf not lol
I don't blame anyone for trying to get too dollar on a game. I have a R&M selling for the going price on Pinside too, so I'm right there with you.
But for me, this is a sad commentary on the hobby, where people with deep pockets scoop up all the LE spots because they'll agree to buy any and every LE from distros sight unseen.
When I got into the hobby 6-7 years ago, you had time to think about what model you wanted. Now, you have to rich or be willing to perform sexual acts if you want an LE.
From a business perspective, it's brilliant. But as a player/collector, it's kinda shitty.
Quoted from pinballjah:Do any Stern LEs have any differences in terms of game play or mods compared to the Premiums?
I believe they did something like this with Tron a while back.
All the differences now are in aesthetics like inner cab decals, powder coating, etc.
I do like the Stern HD glass, but at the current prices, it's going to take one hell of a game to get my wallet open.
Quoted from JMK:@ WizardsCastle: Good points, however, personally all things being equal, I prefer LEs as I do like all the enhancements: HD glass, shaker, powder coated trim, inner decals, etc.
I’m just simply unlikely to add those enhancements at a later date though I recognize the premium model is the better value.
I’m getting somewhat more selective over the years but but I typically really dig the look of Stern or CGC LEs.
Just my two cents and ofcourse it comes downs to personal taste.
I'm the same. I like the LE additions, and as a kid that grew up innthe 80s collecting toys, cards, comics, etc., there's something about getting the LE that makes it more meaningful.
But back to my point, I'm having a much harder time justifying purchases.
I think when it comes to Stern, I'm basically only looking at what Elwin puts out, because I generally get a lot of enjoyment out of his games.
Quoted from koji:Huge shout out to ImNotNorm and transprtr4u for packing up and shipping my Tales from the crypt so well.
I picked up the machine today, packed nicely on a extra large pallet. Not a scratch on the wrapping, so a +1 for Day and Ross I guess as well
This one was loaded with all sorts of goodies and extras that were above and beyond. The game is a dream game for me, so I'm super stoked to dig into it.. but you know you are half-way there when it travels through the rockies in stormy winter conditions, and you can set it up and power it on with no issues on arrival
Anyway.. big thanks... and assurances to anyone looking to make a deal with these folks!
https://photos.app.goo.gl/unRtgwjBpPHvNafz6
transprtr4u is the greatest person I've met in the hobby... Maybe even the kindest person in general.
If the hobby had more people like him, we'd all be better off!
Quoted from Tranquilize:Players Shadow is prob close to 7k I'd guess. That's cheap to me. The game is in my to 5 of all time.
Last year, a gorgeous Shadow was $6-6.5K.
Quoted from Darscot:Unless you had an inside line on one from a social connection I don't think that is true. I think it was Aurich in combination with the SDTM guys and their fans but every casual person believes that The Shadow is worth 3K more than sanity. It has been on a completely unrealistic hype train for several years. I actually loved the radio show on late night radio, on reruns I am not a boomer. I have tried to get a Shadow for several years and I think it is one pin more than any other that is completely disconnected from reality. There is no justification for it's price or desirability, when there is enough believers out there it doesn't matter.
P.S. Gorgeous on a Shadow means Aurich translite and LEDs, the rest of the pin can be in need of complete restore and they are asking 7K telling you how its a steal and worth 10k.
All I can tell you is that I had one from a guy selling here, no connection to him, so no special pricing, and he was selling a gorgeous example, ColorDMD, etc., for $6500 CAD.
But we were in the thick of the pandemic, and I wasn't really up for going to get a game. I regret it now, but then, $6500 wasn't a steal of a deal.
I personally would never pay more than that price for a Shadow, but that's just me.
Quoted from northerndude:Don’t know why you’d ask here.
You’d put them up for a fortune on PinRev anyway.
Is that a general comment, or specific to me?
Quoted from northerndude:We’ll, kinda specific, I’ve seen your stuff for sale at high price for extended times there.
Funny, I've lost my shirt on every game I've ever sold except maybe the last one or two games.
But thanks for thinking about me on a Friday night.
GnR LE opened just about a month ago, very low plays.

Mind if I ask what you sold it for?
Trying to determine the value of one.
Looking to trade my like new GnR LE.
Looking for:
Elvira HOH
Stranger Things Prem/LE

Prefer local, but open to shipping if the right trade comes along.
Quoted from violinfather:I am selling a JJP Dialed In. It is the Standard Edition. Works flawlessly. HUO. $9000
Under appreciated game, excellent price!
Good luck!
Quoted from Zartan:I was waiting for the new batch of Stranger Things! Guess where that got me! Lol
They're not making more Stranger Things?
Quoted from extraballingtmc:Just play it already!!!
If only I had the time.
Would rather it go to someone who can actually enjoy it
GnR LE in like new condition. Wrapping still on the side rails.
I'm putting this down to $14,000 to move it.
I paid $16,900 from Nitro a few months ago.
PM if interested.
Also, looking for a few arcade games. Curious to know what you guys think the pricing would be for nice examples of:
- Super Sprint
- Ice Cold Beer
- Street Fighter II
Can anyone recommend a site/forum for finding arcade games?
Thanks!
Quoted from Tranquilize:Damn.. I wish I liked the game!
I wish I had time to play it haha!
Open to trades for my GnR LE.
Here's what I'm interested in:
Monster Bash LE
Iron Maiden Premium or LE
EHOH Premium
Stranger Things - Premium or LE
Rush LE
Star Wars LE
GnR LE up for trade.
Message if you have anything.
Mostly looking for:
IMDN
EHOH
Stranger Things
Monster Bash LE
Star Trek LE
Quoted from Rob_G:It's a very underrated game I think. Fricking heavy too!
Rob
Dialed In is one hell of a game. The people who complain about the theme, clearly don't like pinball.
Sure, it's no one's dream theme, but it fits right into the corniness of pinball.
The only complaint I have, is that the code could use a little polish. And the final wizard mode could have a more epic finish rather than just ending.
If they ever did update the code, it would easily make it into my top 15 games of all time.
Jurassic Park Premium (under 50 plays) - $13,200 with Connected, or $13,000 without.
Dialed In (like new condition) - $11,500
Local pickup only.
PM if interested.
Couple games for sale:
Jurassic Park Premium (super low plays) - $13,200 with Connected, $13,000 without.
Dialed In - $11,500
Local pickup only.
Quoted from kool1:If you were a couple weeks earlier I would have grabbed that JP Premium. I just brought my JP Pro in this week.
Sounds like a great time to sell your pro and upgrade to a premium
Jurassic Park Premium, new build with Stern Connected and less than 100 plays.
$13,200 (or $13,000 without Connected).
Game still looks and smells new.
Local pickup only.
Thanks.
Alien LV for trade.
Low plays. One owner.
Not actively looking to trade, but open to Stern LE games.
PM if interested.
Quoted from BeeGeeMtl:Not a lot of east coasters in this thread, but as soon as the CACTUS CANYON LE (remake) is allowed to ship into Canada, I will be placing my ALIEN (LV) for sale. I live in Montreal and for now, no shipping, just pick-up.
Awesome guy to deal with here
FOR TRADE!
Jurassic Park Premium (new build with Connected).
Alien LV
Both have less than 100 plays.
Looking for:
Big Lebowski
Elvira House of Horrors
Rush LE
James Bond LE
Stranger Things Premium or LE
Monster Bash LE
Cactus Canyon LE
Quoted from apexsl:I am looking to sell my James Bond LE NIB at regular price and because someone will ask, I am selling as I bought the 60th and even though I am a JB fan I don't want 2 JB themed pins (and yes I know they are completely different games).
$12999 USD + tax
If you want to pay in CAD today the exchange rate would be 1.35. So in you live in Ontario $12999 x 1.13 = $ 14688.87 USD x 1.35 = $ 19830 CAD
Please no offers below this price.
If it does not sell I will open and play.
IC included in price
Cheers
I think it's going to get harder to sell these new LE games for us here in Ontario. Out of the gate, we pay, we pay roughly $1400 CAD more than our friends in Alberta.
The new greedy Stern prices have changed things a lot. Bond was a great theme, and the LE wasn't a one-day sellout like most LEs are.
I wish you all the luck in the world selling your game, but I think people are starting to get cold feet at these prices.
Wondering if anyone can help with this.
Is it possible to buy a NIB game from a US distributor, and have it shipped to you in Canada?
I had two ideas in mind.
1) Buy from a US distro, and send it to my Shippsy address, and pick it up when they bring it over to their depot in Markham.
2) Have a friend of mine in Chicago buy the game for me, pay him back, and then have him just ship it door to door.
Would either of these ideas work?
I'm getting tired of the limited supply with us only having two Canadian distros, and I'd like to open up some extra options for myself when looking for games.
Thanks!
Quoted from Meegis:Both those options are completely viable.
Cheers, I was hoping someone would say that.
Getting tired of only having two distros to choose from, and if you don't buy every LE, you're not getting one that you want when it comes up.
I have friends in the US that were buying Foo Fighter LEs while the Twitch stream was going tonight.
Ok, so I found a Foo Fighters LE in the US, and they are able to send it door-to-door from their business to my home.
I am told I have to contact the border to create an account to clear customs? Does anyone know anything about this?
Also, if I have it sent to me, I will pay 13% tax to bring it in. But, if I have it sent to family in Winnipeg, I would only pay 5%.
That difference is probably around $1400, so would it make sense to ship it to my family out there, then just have a shipping company deliver from them to me. Anyone know the cost of shipping a pin from Winnipeg to Toronto? I figure it's nowhere near $1400!
Quoted from Apollo18:I seriously need to learn all this.
I’m doing this from now on.
Sick of Monopolized Private Club that is the Canadian market.
Please share/teach as you go, thanks.
Wish I had realized all this before I committed to a Premium.
That's exactly how I feel, and precisely why I've decided to look at an option in the US.
I love supporting Canadian businesses, but I hate that it's become a contest of who can flash the most money. From a business perspective, I totally get it. You have customers committing to buying each and every LE that gets released, so it's easy money for the distros, and less work then chasing customers to see if they want the latest game.
But as a customer, I feel a bit insulted that after years of buying games from some of these guys, someone can just step in, throw some money around, and they now have my spot on the "list".
It's all good. Now that I'm aware that I'm not limited to purchasing in Canada, I have more choices on who to give my money to.
Considering purchasing a game in Vancouver. Anyone here that could possibly help pack and ship the game?
Please PM me if you're able to help out.
Thanks so much in advance
Quoted from rwmech5:Call Nitro, they'll pick up, pack and ship.
Do you know roughly what they would charge?
Quoted from Saltimbanco:Plenty of other games out there!
Weird how it works. No one wanted it when it came out, now everyone has to have one.
Sounds like something out of a George Orwell novel!
Does anyone in the Toronto or surrounding area have a Lebowski? Would love to get some time on one, as I'm considering purchasing.
Will bring beer!
Thanks!
Quoted from ShinyNick:I have a TBL in Georgetown, Let me know if you want to come and check it out.
Nick
Awesome thanks!
Aren't you hosting April 24?
SCAMMER ALERT!!!
Bought a game from Jamieryan71 that he described as working perfectly, but instead, it was plagued with issues.
I reached out to Spooky and they confirmed there were issues reported on the game prior to him selling.
The upper playfield on Scooby had both flipper coil stops hanging off (that did not happen in shipping!) as well as board issues, broken molex connectors, and more.
When I asked for the receipt so I could reach out to Spooky, he said he could not find it (right!).
Thankfully AJ at Spooky isn't a degenerate like this guy, and he was good enough to honour the warranty.
I took the game apart today, and went through all the issues with AJ on the phone.
He felt bad that I got screwed like this, so he's sending me all the parts.
Anyhow, just putting this out there so no one else gets burned.
Thankfully the large majority of people I've dealt with have been amazing, unlike this dickhead.
Quoted from transprtr4u:Now that just plain sucks .
When I sell games, I clean and wax them, and even usually add a brand new set of balls for the new owner!
Definitely not what I got here!
Quoted from Pugster:Ah crap WizardsCastle I’ve been following your posts on the Scooby thread didn’t know this is what went down.
I’ll leave the spooky comments for that thread, regardless the idea of dumping a problem on someone else without full disclosure is 100% douchebagerry.
Hope you get it all sorted, sounds like Spooky will make it right.
Yup, that's me!
Hours of work on it so far, and still loads of issues left. This is always the risk with early production games, but regardless, I'd never dump my problems on another person.
If you can't fix things, at least have the decency to tell disclose that, and accept you're going to lose some money from someone willing to invest time doing repairs and troubleshooting.
I'll get it fixed, and it will be as good as new, but I still wish I didn't have this to deal with. My best friend is in the hospital losing his fight with cancer, and I even told the seller about this.
But some people just put their happiness and we'll being before everyone else's.
If you ever see my Scooby for sale (games don't last long here), you can rest assured, it's 100% working, or I'LL TELL YOU OTHERWISE!
Quoted from Jamieryan71:You are unreal.
I reported to Spooky about the start button light not working. That was the only issue I reported to Spooky, and I disclosed that to you. Very dishonest to say that "issues" were reported to Spooky, implying that I knew of other issues with the game that I did not disclose. AJ at Spooky can confirm.
I bought the game on March 8th, and put it up for sale on March 16th. The game was play tested by Nitro when they delivered it on the 8th. Nitro can confirm.
I played it for a few days, and decided to sell it. Once I put it up for sale, I never played it again. Everything, other than the start button light, was working when the game shipped. The game was shipped in the back of a truck 4000 kms across the country. But you say that these issues couldn't have happened during shipping, that I must have broken the machine myself, between the 8th and the 15th?
I told you I looked for the receipt last night, and couldn't find it. I was going to keep looking this morning, but after waking up and seeing that you're calling me a dickhead on pinside, I told you that I'm not dealing with you anymore. Then you proceed to threaten to come to my house, and pepper me with insults.
I also told you this morning that I was having my father cremated today. Rather than giving it a rest for a day, you come on here and call me a degenerate, who nobody should do business with.
I will not be responding to you anymore. I want nothing to do with you. Leave me alone.
I already said everything I needed to say, including expressing my condolences for your loss (despite firmly believing you were untruthful about the game you sold).
I was at the hospital this evening with my best friend who is losing his fight with cancer.
Pinball is such a miniscule thing right now, and I honestly am over whatever happened here. I'll fix the game and move on.
But I still have zero regrets about warning others about our transaction, in hopes that no one else gets burned.
All the best to you.
Have a Scooby spot available in the mid-500s, which will likely be ready in the next couple of months.
Will drop $500 off the price, plus will pay to have the game transferred into your name.
Game is shaping up with new code, and a real blast to play.
Message if interested.
Cheers
Quoted from movingpictures:Imagine spending over $20k on an LE and not liking it.
Ouch !
Love it actually, but I ended up with more games coming at once then planned. Can't find my money tree, so something of larger value has to go unfortunately.
Quoted from MrMikeman:Meh. A bunch in marketplace actually NIB and less than this asking price. Although you’d have to add taxes if crossing the border.
Not exactly fair to say the price across the border is less, without factoring in shipping and taxes since they're unavoidable.
If you look at the marketplace, the price is exactly where I am, maybe even a few bucks more.
I'm not making profit on this game. Just trying not to lose either.
It's a sought after game, and for someone who really wants it, the price is justifiable, just like the TBL I'll be buying after.
Sure, it's insane at $20K, but that's where things have gone. If you're not feeling it, you vote with your wallet.
I'm starting to lose my appetite at these prices, and that's why I refuse to put new money into the hobby.
Anything I buy comes from the sale of another game.
And if things keep going up, I'll likely keep what I have, and just play newer stuff on location.
Quoted from BMGfan:Agreed on 22k is insane to for ANY pin.
I have no doubt it's a reasonable price for the market, but the market is whack.
I fully and absolutely agree with you.
When I told my wife what I paid, she didn't even have a response. Just gave me the look that said 1000 words, most of them profanities.
I sold two games to finance this one, so that alone says something.
Everyone sees pinball and money differently depending on their financial situation and their priorities in life, but for me, I'm getting very close to pulling the plug and just sticking with the games I have and maybe trading for pros and premiums.
I will definitely pick up a FF premium down the road as it's an incredible shooter, but this hobby has now gone fully stupid with pricing, and I'm just tired of being part of the problem.
If you're looking for a Scooby CE, I'm selling my spot for $800 off the price.
Great game, really starting to shape up with code, so if you are planning to get one, here's a way to save some money!
Quoted from northerndude:So out of curiosity, does one have to buy all the LE's even if you don't want it to stay on some sort of special list and lose your chances at the next LE? Otherwise why buy an awesome game and sell it in an instant?
I think the answer to your question in an absolute yes, but that's not my reason for selling. A game came up for sale, and it was one I had been waiting a while for. Something has to go, and right now, a lot of money is tied up in this one title.
I'll probably regret it, because I think it's going to be one of the best games in recent years, but I can always pick up a premium down the road.
Quoted from paul_8788:Still looking forward to my Scooby, should be here in a few weeks. A bit disheartening to hear people shit on it, but that's people for you. In general I tend to like games others crap on so it will probably end up being a keeper for me lol.
I don't think people are shitting on it because they don't like the game itself. The game is pretty fun (I have one) but the collosal QC failures are just inexcusable.
I have owned two R&Ms, a TNA, and now Scooby.
Every game with the exception of TNA has been plagued with issues, and I mean, months of troubleshooting.
The Scooby I have is an early run and had way more issues then anyone would consider acceptable. The previous owner sold me the game very dishonestly, so he wouldn't have to deal with the issues, and now I've spent hours going through each issue, fixing it, and bulletproofing the game.
Boards have been replaced, wiring harnesses, you name it.
So in my opinion, the hate on that people have is well warranted and deserved.
When I finally turn around and sell my game, it will be flawless, but I still have hours ahead before I get to that point, and in the interim, my kids are loving it, because, well... It's a fun game!
Foo Fighters LE $21,000K.
You can pretend you're buying it from Dan if that makes it more appealing. I'll even role play if that's your thing!
Quoted from Tuxedomask23:I can vouch for the seller as well. He keeps his games in immaculate shape.
17K for a premium?!?!
Quoted from BMGfan:I didn't want to say it, I'm glad I'm not the only one...
I remember a few months after the game came out, someone here had a pro for sale, and they were willing to let it go for $6000 CAD!
People weren't hot on the game, and he was having trouble dumping it.
Now a premium is $17K! Hahahaha!
The pinball manufacturers must wake up every day, and have a good belly laugh before they have their coffee.
We are idiots!
Foo Fighters LE for sale $21,000.
Interested in trades + cash if you have the following:
- Monster Bash LE
- Rush LE
- Walking Dead LE
Quoted from MrMikeman:Sold my LE for 14.5k CAD lol and that was including all the Stern accessories - topper, shooter, UV kit. It was before pinheads finally decided it was a good game obviously. I liked it but my wife never liked the flow/game play so that’s why it had to go. No regrets though. It’s not always about money and making a buck. It wasn’t a good fit for our game room but I can see the appeal
I love how a game can go so quickly from dud to stud.
I get some games like TWD, where the shots were amazing to begin with, but the code needed to be fleshed out. Or even BM66.
But with Stranger Things, so many people complained about the layout, so even though code changed for the better, the layout obviously was the same, yet everyone decided it was now great.
I personally always liked it because AFM is one of my favorite games of all time.
Just funny how that all works out.
Foo Fighters LE still for sale while I have your attention haha!
This game has both amazing layout and rules
Foo Fighters LE, less than 50 plays.
$21K or trade for the following:
- Monster Bash LE
- Cactus Canyon LE
- Walking Dead LE
- Stranger Things LE
- Rush LE
Owners will tell you that STH is the rarest of the modern Sterns, and that a pro is worth the cost of a premium.
Non-owners who have no skin in the game, and nothing to lose or gain will tell you exactly what it is... A moderately fun game that despite being one of the biggest television IPs, sold so poorly that Stern just stopped making them (hence the rarity).
I'm a huge Brian Eddy fan (own both MM and AFM) and although this game is essentially the same layout, I would never trade either of my games for it, not even the LE!
To each their own, but if we're being fair, the overhyping is clearly coming from the owners.

Quoted from Tranquilize:Agreed. The game will likely be priced similar to nib games soon. Saturation is here.
I'm very curious to see if these manufacturers can continue selling games at these insane prices. For a while, I was going along with it, telling myself it was ok because resale on games was decent, and the risks of losing loads of money to try out a new game weren't too terrible. But now that you see people selling Bond LE at a $3000 loss, and Venom not selling out, I think the greed might be catching up to them.
A Pro is now almost $11,000 is Ontario, which is almost what I was paying for an LE 8 years ago when I got into the hobby.
People are starting to feel the squeeze of this current economy, and when push comes to shove, pinball won't be at the top of a lot of lists.
It will be interesting to see if these recent price spikes come back to bite the manufacturers in the ass.
Quoted from Rob_G:I tried to like BM66. The theme integration is absolutely top notch, but frozen timers carrying over ball to ball just absolutely ruins it for me. Every other mode is irrelevant to Bookworm and Freeze being played first.
Rob
For me, it was the crane. Lackluster toy that made no sense in the theme integration. When it would get activated, I'd be annoyed. Shots also got stale quick for me.
Everyone likes something different, so we're fortunate to have so many games, but BM66 just didn't do it for me.
Looking for a Monster Bash LE or a Rush LE.
I have a super mint Star Trek LE to trade.
I just got it recently in a trade, so I'm in no rush, but I thought I'd post this up to see what's out there.
Cheers
LE-palooza!
James Bond LE (with topper) - $18K
Star Trek LE (with ColorDMD) - 14K
Walking Dead LE - $14K
All games are like new with very low plays.
Quoted from Aquapin:I have someone interested my original JP LE (mean green OG edition).
It has the Stern topper and shooter rod. Plus Lior TRex head and mezel mods raptor tower, cage, beacons, and signs. Low plays, mint condition, etc.
Is 15.5K a fair price? If they don't buy, likely will list it.
Solid deal IMO.
Arguably the best game Stern has ever produced.
With LEs going for $21,000 these days, and JP being one of the best, plus all your extras, I'm actually tempted to buy, and I already have one!!!
Quoted from KnockerPTSD:What is a Star Trek LE going for these days? I'm usually more of a pro guy but that is such a great LE
At $14,000 with a ColorDMD, I think most would consider that a really good price.
Let me know if you'd like any more photos, or I can even send videos.
Quoted from KnockerPTSD:Personally, I'd take two pros over one LE everytime but that's me
I'd almost always agree with you, but Star Trek LE is the exception. Definitely the most effort Stern has ever put into an LE package.
Quoted from BMGfan:What makes the LE so good?
Lit armor, light blackbox Trek symbol, lit apron (not sure if premium got this), gorgeous powder coat, mirrored backglass, expression lights (before they were called express lighting), and probably more that I'm missing.
The package is just gorgeous.
Quoted from AlexRogan84:Are the LE additions affecting gameplay much or mostly cosmetic? I'm asking because I've really enjoyed playing the game when I find one out and about but don't really know what came standard on all games and what was added for the premium or LE. One of the local league hosts has a glorious looking and playing LE and another spot, public, has a Pro to play and enjoy. They are both fun yet the Pro is hard to take in what it has to offer because you don't get to really hear it or see all the lights doing their thing as it competes with the other games and bar patrons nearby.
I've spent a lot of time on the Pro, and now the LE.
I'm not at all one that thinks LE is better because it's an LE. I've enjoyed many Pro models more, especially TWD
With Star Trek though, they put everything into this LE. I don't even know how this came to be because nothing before or after it even came close.
Maybe Gary was a huge Trekkie and this was his grail.
Because the treatment this game got makes it look like another manufacturer made it!
Still have:
James Bond LE
Star Trek LE
For sale, unless you have the following to trade:
- Monster Bash LE
- Cactus Canyon LE
- Stranger Things
- Iron Maiden
Quoted from Gunner007:I think as new to the hobby my thoughts of getting a newer machine pro for $8k CAD is a dream. So I'm thinking 2 x 1990s pins. What are some ideas of pins that are $4k ish are fun to play, have great themes and hold their value. Opinions thanks. And if you have something and you're close to the Kingston On area let me know.
I think you can get a Stern pro for close to $8.
Maybe not something like Deadpool, but you might find less desirable games like TMNT around that price.
