Quoted from mwong168:

Not sure what you are talking about? You might notice less pinball machines being listed on kijiji or forums but I've helped over 30 pins find new homes this year and over 140 in the past 2 years. It's who you know and being at the right place and right time.

That's the case everywhere, but looking at forums and kijiji on top of that, there is a huge difference going on in BC, AB, SK publically, and I assume behind the scenes as well.

Walk away, walk away fast.

#358 9 years ago

In other words go f**k yourself... People like this really piss me off go get a real job buddy like the rest of us and stop scamming good people...

#359 9 years ago

This scam is going around big time right now. The exact same response word for word as the Twilight Zone for $3500 in BC recently. They give you the website of the place they 'say' they deal with and when you check it out it looks legit. Until you start using google to find more info and then you find out its scam city.

#360 9 years ago

How come the police cannot track these people?

#361 9 years ago
Quoted from QuickSilverShelby:

There's a TOTAN for sale right now on Kijiji by one of the locals and I have recently seen 2 TOM's for sale on Kijiji and know of one other that was for sale. There have been many for sale recently, your timing may just be a little off.
QSS

Sorry I didn't respond right away. I'm leery dealing with someone strictly off Kijji with the amount of scams going on right now. If it was a fellow pinsider I'd be much more trustworthy. It's hard to have unconditional trust in people when you've been stung in the past.

Anyone in Calgary want to volunteer to check this out for me? I'd be willing to compensate you for your time/effort!

Quoted from Darcy:

Walk away, walk away fast.

Just want to add that I got the same email, hahaha. Was already doubtful but now it's confirmed ! I emailed the company and even had an answer.

"Dear Roudy,

My name is Matthew Lawrence and I will be the supervisor of this transaction if you decide to purchase this item(s) (1997 Medieval Madness Pinball Machine). In order to purchase this item(s) you need to register the transaction on our company website by filling up the registration form.

After we will verify your details we can deny or approve your purchase. If we will approve your purchase we will email you the invoice of this transaction with the necessary details regarding the payment and shipping.

We have this item(s) at our warehouse in Whitehorse YT. If agree we can arrange a local pick up for you in Whitehorse YT or we can deliver it to you for free if your purchase will be approved.

Our free 10 Day Money Back Guarantee service is available ONLY for items sold through KIJIJI, Auto Trader and Craigslist. On a free website, a buyer doesn't have the guarantee that the item purchased is exactly as described so by offering this 10 day money back guarantee we guarantee that the item(s) is received exactly as described by the seller. We verify all item(s) before they are listed for sale and verify if the item(s) description is accurate.

The guarantee is available from the day the item(s) is received. Within the 10 Day Money Back Guarantee the buyer must verify the item(s) and reach a decision. If the buyer decides to return the item(s) he\she will be refunded, we will handle the shipping and the seller will be responsible for the shipping fees. If the buyer decides to accept the item(s), our staff must be notified and the payment will be released to the seller. The bill of sale will be transferred to the new owner only after the 10 Day Money Back Guarantee period is over.

Thank you

Matthew Lawrence

Esquer Trading Group"

I replied that I have a family member in Whitehorse (which is just a friend but anyway haha) And since they offered pick up I would like to send him see the machine before.

Got the first answer in 15 minutes, now nothing for hours hahaha

Pure SCAM!!! They were pulling the same scam under a URL easyyardsale.com and it looked very legit. These scum bags make fake blogs and even a fake BBB to claim how great they are, I'm sure tons of people lost their money. I think the police have a hard time because they can't step out of their country to do anything and these scammers tend to migrate to countries with very limited resources or no government.

Rule of thumb, if you can't touch it and they don't accept payment that you can reverse on non-delivery then DON'T buy it. As well, when you review a website blog giving praise, always check for a home page because most of these scammers just toss a single page together quick to make it look legit. Another good idea is to do a Whois on the website and see what is registered and where.

I agree, there are different opinions coming from people that used and not used this company, different opinions will always be in any domain, because you will never find a thing in this world that will be OK with everybody... that's the human nature, to question everything and be skeptic on everything. I know what you mean and I talk from the seller's point of view: I sold often on KIJIJI, from 2006 I keep selling cameras and accessories on this online marketpalce and i've seen them all, from account theft to paypal and cashiers check scams. I personally don't trust PayPal anymore, not that they are not a good service, but because of the scams that are going on more and more often on KIJIJI involving PayPal and cashiers checks. Over the years i saw that these scams target only the small items, items that can be delivered internationally because the "buyers" are "buying" stuff as a present for their daughter in Nigeria, a gift for someone close in another country, etc. So how secure is PayPal when they can use their system to scam others? Why would i use paypal anymore when it was supposed to be the safest service out there and guaranteed by eBay but if i receive 10 questions on a camera listed on KIJIJI, 6 are scams trying to pay with paypal and steal my item. So of course I want to use a safe service so i can have the guarantee that i actually receive the payment and i will not get scammed. I found out about Esquer Trading Group recently and i sold 2 camers and 2 lenses so far with their help without the fear of getting scammed, any hassle etc. I am very satisfied with their offers and all that so it's a A+++ from me. I am not the only one who is saying that this company is legit and if you will take a look on this forums you will see that there are many peoples that use them in the past. It s very easy to ruin something which is taking a lifetime to build it.

Verbatim received via email on this Esquer Trading Group is exactly the same from email's received on different ads advising of a different site (easy yard sale). The attached link should have all the information anyone requires on this matter.

Yes no projects, I'm not that good at fixing them up. Williamsfan picked up a nice clear coated one for $1100 last year I believe. I would have jumped on that if I saw it first

I just contacted Day and Ross for a shipping quote and they said they don't do residence to residence shipping. Did you send and pickup from a shipping depot with them?

Does anyone else have a suggestion for a shipper from Hamilton to Ottawa? I'm hoping to avoid the drive myself...

Ah yes you are correct, I was doing business to residence. You could do residence to terminal with them and pick it up at the closest terminal... Sorry forgot to mention that...

Grab all the ones you can at $4.5, they are going for considerably more in Ontario/Quebec. I think they are $6K plus for a decent example and more depending on condition. I agree $10K is a lot of cash....more than I would spend on any pinball, but to someone with lots of cash, it's pocket change to have a game in better than new condition.

Yes. Sorry. I'm dumb.

I'm surprised anyone is selling a TOTAN or CV now given the v2 coming from PPS and jpop.

I would wait until after that, as both these games could get a whole lot better. I think CV has the better rules for sure for what it is, and hope, given I have one, they do CV first, but TOTAN suffers from the weaker rule set for sure.

If you had a game you believed was going to be remade, wouldn't that be the best time to sell? I mean, MM was $20,000 before the MMR was announced and now really nice ones can be had for under $10K and falling. If I had any of the big name games that I thought were being remade I would consider cashing out before the value took a hit.
